my girlfriend really likes games. She likes the simpler addictive games, a la Tetris and Brain Age and Fuzion Frenzy (casual), but also enjoys action and shooting sh*t....I guess that's not as common for a girl in the big picture. ....there's some amazing sh*t on the PS2, and many of us missed out, if there is to be a PS3 with BC, and it's been done before, why not hold out for the one with it? People assume everyone got to play PS2 games....I had Xbox1, nothing else. Are you to say that God of War 1 & 2, and Shadow of the Colossus are to be missed and I should instead buy Haze for the same price as 3 greatest hits? Yeah yeah, PS2's are cheap why not just get one....because it can be done on the PS3, I'm waiting on...
it has only one component I want...Resistence....40 gb is too small, no backwards compatibility (verified), no mem. card slot, NBA '08 is a lame game (2K series is superior), but for the money you're shelling out, it IS an excellent bargain for what you get, that's obvious.....Just for me, it's not gonna work, even if it wasn't sold out.

I won't comment on the credibility, but I'd comment on the fact that not everyone ever got to own a PS2, so someone like me has a plethora of games I'd like to play, in addition to getting into the next gen with the PS3 games. Don't assume we all own (or owned) a PS2. Yeah, they're cheap now, but why spend the money if Sony's got the capacity to put it into the new gen hardware?

Austrailian because all the prices were higher than I know them to be....but I totally say (in my opinion!!) for what you get the PS3 is a better deal. The author tried to sneak in the 360 20GB hard drive being equal to the 40GB one of the PS3 by saying "equally good", you really have to get an Elite 360 to get a good hi-def system, then $100 USD for the wi-fi adapter, $35-50 USD for XBOX live for a year, etc...it comes to more than the $500 USD for the 80 GB PS3, but with 40 GB mor...

I should add for myself, that I only shop there because of used games really (once in a while I'll by accessories because their "gamestop brand" ones are pretty cheap, and they're simply name brand ones with the Gamestop logo smacked on), as there's really no where else you can get decent used game selections around me.

As for me, most of the employees encountered are decent people but a couple had NO clue what they were talking about. One guy just a month or two ago had no clue that the 80 GB PS3's were going to be extinct for a bit until something new was to come along. Basically he had no idea that the 40 GB's were the only SKU's around long after it was old news.
