because when I get my PS3 I plan to catch up on the 8 years of games I missed out on on PS2, I never had one and BC is a HUGE selling point for me. Of course logic says that I could simply get a cheap 40 GB if it was $299 and then a new PS2 for $129 and spend less than the $499 the 80 GB is as of this time. It'd be a hassle to have 2 consoles though...and I want a larger HD than 40 and more inputs, memory card, etc...
Not on this list? No Resistence 2? InFamous? Why occlude them simply because they may not make 2008, nothing is set in stone, any of these titles can be delayed, it's all an educated guess. Anyways these lists are always just a demonstration in taste, there's no right or wrong, I wouldn't have a soccer game in my top ten. It's interesting though I guess....
I think those screens would be impressive, considering what else has been shoved on the system multi-wise. It shouldn't be compared to Fight Night 3 as that's comparing HD next gen to the Wii, which isn't the same battlefield.

I would have to guess that they were concepts. Perhaps I'm wrong, I just have a strong feeling they're not in game just from the "painterly" quality. Maybe it's just the fact that they're scans from a mag. I have no doubt it's possible for R2 to set a new standard visually and can't wait to see how it looks in motion, I'm just saying these shots look awkward for in game shots, again, maybe I'm wrong, but I happen to have a background in this stuff (BFA in media arts and animation). ...

This is really putting my mind at ease about '08 and the FPS lineup for the the future for PS3. I plan to have both consoles in the end but it's crucial I pick the right one to get first, and this is a big plus one for Sony. With Haze and KZ2 in the mix, I am content.

just want to point out that I saw some shots of this on IGN and read into the plot, there's actually nothing quite like it, you're a merc and simultaneously competing with other mercs for jobs/hits, and can even take on the competing mercs. Locales go across the globe (unlike the superb Mercenaries game) depending on where you want to go. Sounds fairly original to me...

having the sensation of being shot (well a slight sensation that is to notify the gamer of a shot) is a novelty that probably would get old fast. I could be wrong though, depends I guess how it's implemented.
Also not be offensive but the reporter needs to reserve Wii fit when he's done w/ the show.
but I think the wii's potential power is already that of a PS2.5, it's been said to be somewhere between xbox 1 and 360, which is about what a PS2.5 is. I think Nintendo has more up it's sleeve not announced yet though. Same w/ M$ too. Sony doesn't really have as much need to come out w/ too many more announced games, look at their lineup....

I think it may be a stretch to make it the most reliable simply because a lot of it is the connotation. It all has been word of mouth, MS will have more work than tech work to fix this. Xbox 360 hardware has a bad rap and they have to fix that, which is much more work. Even if they got failur...
