The Slim should've launched at $250 or less. For $100 more I can get a FAR superior machine, so the Slim at $300 is a terrible value to begin with. Even the Xbox One S offers more at $300 than this garbage.

Except times change, as video games have become more obsessed with pushing visual boundaries. The focus on the environment has shifted to seeing how great games look as well. Its why the PS4 was so popular in demand at launch, it boasted every game at a higher resolution, at a cheaper price. It was a no brainer for the casual consumer and why its success is the way it is today. It surely wasn't Knack or KZ: SF that pioneered this generation's success lol
LOL nice try there, the PS4 Slim can't even outpace the Xbox One S. And those aren't really getting any more of a special deal vs the Slim. As both ship with free games and most retailers ship a free game or controller with both. Reality is the PS4 Slim is a mediocre machine thats actually crappier than its previous iteration. And it doesn't help its got a beefier brother coming soon too

Comfort wise I'd agree its a really well balanced headset and though some of the areas in which it pales in comparison isn't the headset's fault so much as it is the components around it. But you'd have to be a new kinda fool to think the screen is higher in quality vs a Rift or Vive. Not resolution wise, not FOV wise nor depth. There's a reason why those headsets cost more, it isn't just pocket money for FB and HTC

In comparison to food products which cycle in the economy and coincide directly with rising living costs and higher cost of production. Last time I checked, a digital subscription that isn't adding anything to your service, doesn't exactly ring a rising cost now does it?

Personally think its BS they haven't announced so much as an expected time-period for this to make it to market. As someone whose PS4 is partially working I don't know whether to trade this in for a PS4 right now or wait for the Neo and that lack of clarity is really unappealing
