Resistance has been an average series since the get go, Sony has just pumped a lot of money into making people think it's a credible FPS.
I have the Sly, Tomb Raider and Prince of Persia collectons. The Ico/Shadow collection is in my top 3 titles for this Fall after Gears and Uncharted 3. However if a game goes multiplatform I much prefer the 360 controller and ability to install to the hard drive.
*Silent Hill 2/3 was my most wanted collection this generation until I heard that horrible voice acting.
Which means PS3 owners please buy our crappy port.
It's great to see 360 getting more of these collections now. This is a day one for sure, can't wait!
I hate Kinect but they were able to create a new product that sold like crazy while Sony took the Wii-mote and put a glowing ball on top.
I won't argue that Sony has some stellar first party titles but clearly they are not helping. I can't wait to get my hands on Uncharted 3 but what Microsoft understood from the get go this generation was to make a system that is easy for third party to develop for.
Microsoft doesn't have to worry about countless exclusives because they have a very solid catalogue of multiplatform titles. Red Dead Redemption and Grand Theft Auto were huge sellers this generatio...
I am not suprised because Sony is a Japanese company that has been fooling everybody that the Resistance series is AAA. Reviewers are just towing the line.
Demon Souls was a game I wanted to love. The art direction was fantastic, the game mechanics were so much fun but the difficulty got to me and I just gave up. That's great for folks who want the crazy challenge, more power to you but it would be nice if there was an option for the rest of the gaming population that doesn't want to pull their hair out and throw things at the screen:)
The real story is that Sony went from having a stranglehold on the last generation to giving up huge market share in North America.
By the end of this generation it will be fairly close WW totals with what I expect to be PS3 with a slight lead. However, the fact that Microsoft has been able to gain 50% market share in such a short amount of time is huge.
I played the heck out of Fallout 3 on 360 and then later when I thought about just going with my PS3 I picked up a copy of the game. It was a dramatic difference. I have a feeling Skyrim will be a much stronger running game on 360.
I have it on 360 and it looks nowhere near this bad, I'd say it's very comparable to the PS3 version and on the 360 you don't have to listen to the lense churn back and forth if you install to the hard drive.
It's been great to see PS3 getting solid versions of multiplatforms. The deciding factor for me continues to come down to which system I can fully install the game to the hard drive. The noise that the slow 1X blu-ray lense makes in a PS3 is awful.
More like Resistance 3 which will have a huge patch this week.
Just like the first two games it will come and go before you know it and will get a 85% average at best. Most overhyped series this generation by far.
Why do so many people pick up average games. Get a life. Pick up 2 or 3 real quality titles a year at the most and spend the rest of the time with you know, girls.
Nice personal attack!
As for real life, zombies come from Haitian folklore and voodoo. Special mixtures of chemicals and powders were used which would create a "zombie" who would be in a death like state, with very limited physical mobility and limited speech.
Actually, after reading your post you seem to suffer from limited speech as well. My bad, didn't mean to insult a zombie.
Rare and N64 was a match made in heaven.
N64: Killer Instinct, Blast Corps, GoldenEye, Diddy Kong Racing, Banjo-Kazooie, Jet Force Gemini, Donkey Kong 64, Perfect Dark, Banjo-Tooie, Conker's Bad Fur Day.
360: Kameo, Perfect Dark Zero and Viva Pinata:/
Rare started out ok with 360 but once the Stamper brothers left it was all over.
Not to say I haven't enjoyed games this generation, Mass Effect series hands down my favorite but overall I've enjoyed previous generations much better.
Personally I loved the N64. Mario 64 was incredible at the time and is still a lot of fun. All night sessions of Perfect Dark, GoldenEye and Mario Kart. Rare at the top of their game.
No online, no dlc, no head-to-head graphics comparisons, and no bleeding achievements/trophies. After I finish...
I was excited for this game and picked it up day one for $30. I remember enjoying the game early on for the Wii. It hasn't aged well and is clunky with terrible graphics. This is the kind of game I would like to see built from the ground up with the PS3 as lead platform, not a shoddy port.
To this day the third installment of GTA is still my favorite of the series and to be honest the only game in the series I really enjoyed. Not a popular opinion I am sure but this series just doesn't do anything for me anymore. Red Dead Redemption was the best sandbox title I've played in the last decade with great gameplay, amazing story and most importantly no ebonic laden gangsta' culture garbage.
