I think Bioshock and Mass Effect have some of the best character design period. Some of my favorite this generation anyway.
Killzone series doesn't deserve to be on there. On first site the graphics look amazing but upon playing the games you realize you have incredibliy small paths to stick to. I would put Killzone on a list of 15 worst shooters on the controls alone.
I've had hundreds of games in my life on disc (PC, PS1, PS2, PS3, Xbox, Xbox 360, Dreamcast) and I have never broken a disc not to mention over a thousand films on Laserdisc, DVD and Blu-ray. Take better care of your stuff troll.
Final Fantasy VII came out on 3 discs and that didn't stop from making it my favorite game of all time.
I'm ok with multiple discs on the 360 because I can fully install any game to the hard drive. I don't own one multiplatform game on PS3, only exclusives for this very reason.
The further technology advances the more I miss the good ol' days. I must be old now:) I've been thinking about putting together a game room with a standard 4:3 television, some nice speakers with a PS2, N64, SNES, etc... No achievements, no downloads, no advertising, no accounts to login to, no gamertags, no trophies, no patches, no DLC.
At the age of 35 now I look back at my many years of gaming and my favorite experiences were:

Oh good, another rushed to market game.
If Sony gives me the choice to fully instally games to the hard drive I will ditch the 360 overnight. Bioshock, Dead Space, Red Dead Redemption, LA Noire and just about every multiplatform game suffers from the slow blu-ray lense reading the disc. When I install a game like RDR to the 360 hard drive I won't hear one noise the entire campaign. Put that same game in the PS3 and it sounds like a printer making coffee. Maybe I'm alone but it ruins the experience for me. Heavy Rain wa...
Gears 3 is my most wanted game this Fall. Second most wanted is Uncharted 3. I have no doubt Gears will be great but Uncharted 3 will take home GOTY for most outlets.
I've brought this movie up in the past as well. Brilliant movie with potential to be an incredible open world sand box game. Going around the Island, trying to survive while offing classmates. And that is the reason it will never become a game, heads would explode. Same reason American remake that was planned fell apart shortly after Columbine.
I think each console has it's ups and downs and while neither is perfect I've had more fun with the 360 this generation than the other two. I love the Uncharted series but didn't enjoy Killzone, Infamous or Resistance series at all.
Most PS3 exlusives look amazing but are in fact mediocre games themselves while the Move is just a glorified Wiimote. Trust me, I'm not the biggest fan of Kinect either but there is no doubt that it will be a major force next g...
Wow, yeah. So that's not over the top or anything. Me likey long time.
It makes sense to me!
It's really too bad Konami couldn't do right with this re-release. The franchise has taken on a "Star Wars" vibe with every new installment being horrible and new voices being edited.
In my eyes pick up a PS2 and the original releases used, it will be a much better experience.
The auto kills are what ruined the game for me. Not only the "auto kill" but the cut to black before and after really takes away from the game.
I feel sorry for anybody who thinks they ARE important. Play games for fun. Outside of that if you are in them to up your worthless gamerscore then you really need to get a life. Leave the house, get off the couch, get a girlfriend, a real career.
I think the top moment should be Nintendo releasing a controller the size of an etch-a-sketch for a controller.
As much as I appreciate your attempt at a fanboy comment I would not disagree. Every since Halo: CE Microsoft has done a wonderful job at making people think every entry in the series was AAA.
Resistance is crap. Pretty but crap none the less.
Sadly Nintendo's insistence on goofy controllers for Wii and now Wii-U are all the reason I do not own a Nintendo console anymore. I'm ok with the oudated graphics but being required to swing my arms around or hold an iPad don't appeal to me no matter how great new installments in Zelda, Metroid or Mario might be.
Wow, Sony sure has done an amazing job at taking such an average series and making it appear to be a AAA must own title.
That's because PS3 for the most part has been inferior on multiplatform games. Hopefully Sony take a lesson from it and make a system that isn't a money waster when it comes to development teams.
