For myself it is not all about the graphics, sure Killzone 3 looks amazing but at the end of the day it's a terribly average game. My problem is the goofy controllers. As much as I love Mario, Metroid, Zelda, etc... I hate the Wiimotes and have no interest in holding an etch a sketch on Wii U.
I was hoping for a solid Nintendo console with solid graphics, a sleek controller and those amazing franchises. I'll be skipping another generation of Nintendo.
Think about all the opportunities to get a real life during those countless hours.
More crappy product placement for Move and 3D?
Speaking for myself I think the partial installation on PS3 is worth being made fun of. I would like to be able to do a full install. I have a 500GB drive, let me use it Sony!
3 discs for Final Fantasy VII didn't make it laughable.
Is this really the "proof" PS3 fanboys have been waiting for as having the better console? I would argue that ability to fully install a game to a hard drive is more of a selling point than having a game on one disc. I enjoy not listening to the PS3 blu-ray lense churning around pulling information off a disc.
Speaking of being "plugged in the whole time";)
Cortana would be a 12 year old girl that looks like Dolly Parton up top wearing a skirt that looks no bigger than a belt.
I wouldn't be surprised if Dead Island sells better than Resistance. It should anyway, Resistance is the most overhyped average title of this generation.
In my eyes having a game where the zombies run is not a zombie game. Zombies don't run!
The only reason I have a PS3 is for the Blu-ray and for a a few exclusives like Uncharted, Little Big Planet and Heavy Rain. Everything else I've bought this generation has been on 360. I would take a quality build of a game on 16 discs vs. a shotty port on 1 disc (Red Dead Redemption, Dead Space, Bayonetta, The Orange Box). I also took LA Noire and Final Fantasy on 360 because of the option to install to the hard drive and not listen to the blu-ray lense churning back and forth pullin...
If someone who has the cover art for "Haze" as their avatar thinks a game looks amazing then steer clear.
One thing I appreciate the most about Sony is that they have really supported new exclusive AAA titles this generation. Little Big Planet, Resistance, Heavy Rain, Uncharted, Infamous, etc... And each game looks better and better. Gears 3 will have some color in it but really the 360 has peaked.
Mirror's Edge 2 - could be brilliant, I enjoyed the first game but didn't have much longevity after the first playthrough.
Alan Wake 2 - great game but should have looked so much better than it did, the 360 really held this game back (sub-hd, screen tearing, audio glitches, etc...)
Bayonetta 2 - yes please, one of my favorites!
Grand Theft Auto 5 - Haven't enjoyed this series since part 3 but of course it will sell like crazy.
Early on games like Gears of War, Perfect Dark and Mass Effect 1 really made the 360 my favorite of the two. As time has gone on though I find it harder and harder to turn on the Xbox. As a non-Halo fan (since game 1) the only reason I'm keeping the 360 at this point is for Gears 3. Once I wrap up the campaign once or twice this fall the Xbox will be up for sale.
I was really hoping for continuation of series like Jet Set Radio Future, Conker's Bad Fur Day, Buffy t...
Will def pick up the game but won't be until after the holidays. Rarely do I buy a game day one anymore. Only games coming up I will be are Gears and Uncharted.
Very cool news, I'm excited to see how it looks if true. I loved the first two but not sure if it will be a blockbuster or niche market title.
As someone who has never bought a COD game, no I won't be buying it ;p
Personally I see the ability to install a full game to the hard drive on an Xbox a bigger benefit than having game on one disc.
I would sell my 360 very quickly if Sony allowed for this. They made switching a hard drive for a good price very easy, let me use it. Red Dead Redemption, Heavy Rain, Bayonetta, Deus Ex, Bioshock, etc... suffers from the slow disc read speed of the "superior" blu-ray. That is why you can hear the lense churning back and forth. For myse...
I wasn't surprised that Killzone 3 was a pretty looking game with average campaign, characters and crap controls.
So your forgetfulness is the reason multiple discs is bad?
