It's not a game, it's a movie.
I have never understood the love for the Metal Gear series. It's a interactive movie, not much gameplay.
Rage is easily one of the best looking games this generation but I have no interest in playing it. Regardless of the graphics it has the feel of every other shooter out there. Turn a corner, bad guys jump out in front of you, shoot, reload, repeat.
I'm all for scantily clad cheerleaders and zombies, ALL FOR IT! However I have a feeling this game will start out fun then become very repetitive. No More Heroes and Shadows of the Damned were games I wanted to really love but after a few hours of each I felt like I was forcing myself to play. I don't think all the naughty cheerleaders in the world could help get me through that.
I agree that the way gameplay was set in the first game was much more engaging. The mechanics on part 2 were fantastic but did feel repetitive. ME1 never felt that way to me.
I'm by no means a big RPG fan so I don't need something over the top but a little more RPG and a little less Gears of War in the 3rd installment would go a long way for me.
I found achievements fun at first but over time I really found myself wish the ability to disable the function all together. I am not a fan of online gaming and yet most games have some online component now so those achievements are worthless.
I like how fluid the melee combat is between moving and the actual takedown. DeusEx:HR has the worst takedowns, hit the circle button and screen goes black for a moment to load take down animation, then back to black to a different angle where your character is.
Realism? Then how can your character go on entire journey without stopping to use the bathroom once? This is a video game, it's supposed to be fun, not frustrating.
Weapon degradation ruins a lot of games for myself. It's just as goofy as flashlights in games that last for a few seconds or characters that can only sprint for about 10 seconds. Are you telling me that in the future flashlights are worse then the one I go camping with now and space marines are only able to jog for a few moments before becoming winded? If I'm fighting dragons certainly I have a sword that is a step above a novelty item.
Don't you mean "whuteva"?
Wow the PS3 is a huge failure in America. Afterall, Microsoft never had the lead in Japan, Sony however once did lead in America.
Microsoft, American company selling well in America.
Sony, Japanese company selling well in Japan.
The real story this generation is that Sony owned North America last time around and lost all that market-share over a few years.
Don't do it!
Not at all, I act as if they really messed up what was already a well established series because they were too stubborn to support the cast that made the original the hit that it was.
"Top 5 Articles We Didn't Need".... #1 "Top 5 Sequels We Didn't Need".
I've enjoyed early Silent Hill, Resident Evil and Fatal Frame games but I can't say I've ever been scared by a video game. Well, with the exception of how crappy the Resistance series is I guess;p
Unfortunately the voice acting is anything but elegant. I'll pass.
I would much rather have a sequel/prequel set in the Red Dead Redemption universe, FAR superior game.
"False Location Designator" sounds like a great jrpg!
It's the only PS3 exclusive coming out this fall that is actually worth the hype. Although if history is any judge the enemies will be incredibly repetive as in the first two titles. Graphics and mechanics however should be brilliant.
