I was holding out for the 670 and 660 for my PC build. I am definitely excited by this performance and the possibility of 4GB of Ram for non reference designs.
It says they are trying to help get their product and services to those who can't afford the upfront cost of the 360 and Kinect.
This is good for the tight budget people who don't want to wait many months or years to save up the money to buy it straight up. So they pay a fragment of the cost and a small monthly payment.
Sounds decent.
Exactly. It seems obvious that a lot of people commenting here are jumping the gun and not thinking about what your getting.
Think about it, this is for people who can't afford the upfront cost for the system, kinect, and Xbox Live. So they do a payment plan.
Anyone ever hear of Rent-A-Center, or even simpler, the common credit card/financing options?
I personally think this is a decent idea. Although it would have been more effective ...
Not just PS3 screens. Take note to number 11, left side of the screen "Tap LB" "Hold LB".
Why are you assuming it was a small group?
Your doing exactly what you claim the survey is doing.
I have participated in several gaming surveys over the past few years. Surveys about game box art, concepts, system features, playing preferences, etc...
I used a few survey sites like Swagbucks, MyPointz, etc...
I've even received a Playstation survey or two via email for the rewards program that never took off and for Plus.
What is the difference?
In all seriousness. I know PSN lacks cross game chat, but other than that I'm confused.
God of War 3 was actually unlocked. If you watch the frame rate analysis below you will see it jump from 60 to 30 and all fps in between.
But the game still runs beautifully.

I'm sure they are finished with the "core coding" part of the game. If they weren't we'd be looking at a late 2013/2014 release at the earliest.
The majority of the remaining months leading up to a games release are Alpha/Beta testing to make sure everything runs correctly. I'm sure with games like GTA (more open, plus multiplayer) have longer alpha and beta phases.
No worries, it's already up on the GTTV website.
A "no comment" comment.
...
You use the Nav controller to move your character and the Move controller to attack/interact/etc...
I think it was just a typo.
But the price is also due to the 2 years of geek squad support.
Had no idea recreation/hobbies/entertainme nt was a waste.
Guess we better stop using TV's to, since there are more TV's than consoles. Gotta be a big waste. /s
Was thinking the same thing when I saw the title.
I feel it would be wiser if the developers say "Crysis 3 will push Cryengine 3 to it's limits on PS3 and Xbox 360"
It sure can, think about the current PS3 GPU, modeled after a 7800GT.
Quite an old GPU but it seems to be doing well. The reason is optimization. When developers are working with one dedicated hardware spec they can squeeze a lot of extra performance out of it.
Whereas PC developers have to program a game to work on thousands of different set ups. Different RAM, CPU, GPU, etc...
Exactly, takes me back to when I bought The Fight: Lights Out. Gameplay was awesome, no bugs or glitches while playing, decent online (small community of players). But the average review was like a 2/10.
I also enjoyed REORC, felt the could of been a bit more to the story, but it's definitely not a 2/10 game.
They are only using the voice control aspect of Kinect, so not really "motion control".
More cores does not always mean a hotter chip. Most chip manufacturers turn down the clock speed on the cores to bring the heat down.
Think of an 8 core AMD chip vs a quad core intel chip. The AMD chip is not 2 times hotter, because the clock speeds are turned down to compensate.
From what I see AMD does lower their prices faster. But as far as new products, they are almost identical in price, give or take $20.
Bottom line is this generation Kepler was clearly the better architecture. Lower power consumption, higher performance, and better thermals.
Simply look at the performance of the GTX 670, rumored to be $349 - $399 but beats the HD 7970 which is priced at $479ish after a sizable price drop.
