Nintendo said that after one game purchase they are making a profit. Hardly a significant loss.
He is referring to developer support. Meaning the PS1 and PS2 had at least 8 years of good dev support, aka new games.
When the PS4 comes out I highly doubt every developer will turn a cold shoulder to the PS3 immediately. It will still see support for a copule years into the next generation.
Monsters without a doubt
You are incorrect though, nicest way I can put it.
Just check out Digital Foundry and let me know then if the PS3 and Xbox 360 can render 720p.
The PS3 does do native 720p, as does the 360, native.
Not quite sure which false reality you are trying to impose on people?
Exactly, plus I noticed not many are even making the distinction between Video Ram and system memory.
Since Consoles have one dedicated OS that has a very small memory footprint, they don't need 4GB of ram to run the XMB.
Also keep in mind 2GB of VRAM is plenty by today's standards. The GTX 680 has 2GB of VRAM and does an amazing job at pumping out triple monitor games in 3D.
You do realize there is no such thing as a 7979, its the 7970. You also realize the GTX 690 cost $999 MSRP, right?
It is extremely unlikely the gpu in next generation consoles will be based off that to keep a price point below $500.
I agree with you, but at the same time he does have a valid point.
The previous article was clearly written in a negative connotation towards Sony. Emphasizing the "NOT" etc...
Because the same can be said for Sony's promises. Example: "LBP Vita, Pending release this summer". Instead it was more like "LBP Vita, Promise NOT kept......yet, releases this summer."
At the end of the day its a MS article, so So...
Socom on PS2 opened me up to Shooters and Online Gaming in general. To this day I still consider Socom 2+3 two of the best online experiences I've ever had.
I still find myself bringing up the old PS2 days, going over a friends house to play for hours and hours on end, just because I had a crappy internet connection.
You should be happy about this milestone then.
If it wasn't for us early adopters, 3D wouldn't ever become a "standard low cost option".
Because of course it's a competition..... /s
A 3.8 for this site, based on the chart at the bottom, tells me that Sorcery is a "Good" game to CheatCC.
How do you come up with the notion that is "sucks" based on that?
Easier? sure
More powerful..... idk. Especially considering the Cell's SPU's can essentially act as GPU's.
Granted not all graphics functions are performed on the Cell, but the Cell takes a LOT of weight off the GPU's shoulders. Like a modern APU.
Consoles are always going to be technically "weaker" than top of the line modern PC's. (not a bad thing)
So is every gen crippled?
Replying to a fanboy comment with a fanboy comment..... you showed him.
I don't think anyone should be complaining about free to play (even though with KZ3 it was a free to play DEMO for the multiplayer, Smart).
If Halo was free to play I'm sure more people would play it.
"Sony's Consumer Products and Services division suffered an operating loss of ¥229.8 billion ($2.8bn) for the full year ended March 2012."
That division contains more than just the Playstation brand. So this isn't a "Playstation division" loss as the title suggests.
Actually quite cool. Would rather have it as an option though, just in case I have someone else use my profile to play.
I think this was done for the reason Mezzo mentioned below.
The contract agreement that Microsoft has with Activision. They get DLC first, but also exclusive rights to themed consoles/bundles.
I know, give away free Xbox 360's to everyone in the crowd..... Oh wait, been there done that.
Just playing. It all comes down to content. Focus on the gamers and not what makes journalists happy.
Give us more 1st part games, 3rd party exclusives, better experiences with Kinect.
As a gamer, I don't want to see kids playing on stage with a virtual cat. I don't want to see random famous people promoting products (That goes for y...
So it will have 4 physical cores, not 16. But still interesting about each core having 4 virtual cores. Plus the more RAM the better, would love to see 8 gigs next gen.
