Nope, which is why this article shouldn't be approved.
They are also wrong about the analog output on PS4.
Bigpappy,
Not sure you are making a point either. Your Sony/bluray example is odd, since Bluray adds to gaming and wasn't a "forced" add on, it was a value added piece that clearly paid off for gamers.
And about Ryse, that was originally a Kinect game. It's troubling to see a device come with a necessary add on that isn't being used, even by the games that were shown (Ryse) to be Kinect games just get reverted back to basic controllers....
WHOOAHHHH, AMAZING /s
haha, I did watch he E3 footage though, very promising.
Honestly I don't know of a source for that info. I assume only MS and Sony would know that, and unless it's an amazing stat, they probably won't release it.
Would assume less since the install base of consoles vs PC's is skewed in the favor of PC, since almost any PC can play games.
Let's just celebrate the accomplishment at hand :)
Xbox One sold 5 times what PS4 did at my Best Buy on Black Friday, cause we only had 5 PS4's :).
At the launches however, we had around 200 PS4 preorders and just over 100 Xbox One preorders.
Oh it's such a perfect day...
Well they don't go on any discount, they are just available for purchase.
Not necessary to remove it at all.
This is why online interactions are not rated for games, plain and simple. What's next? A ban on games that show violence since a child can easily choose to watch Killzone streams?
I know, let's ban streams all together because anyone can curse without notice.
How about just introducing very obvious parental controls agains children watching live content on twitch through the PS4. That way us adult...
K.I.S.S
Keep it Simple Stupid, why complicate something that is supposed to be easy? Having fun should be simple, gaming should be simple.
I work at a Best Buy, we have both PS4's and Xbox's coming in to add to the pile already waiting for Black Friday.
This shouldn't be a surprise as Sony already announced they advised retailers to hold back stock, for this very reason.
So both have extra quantity, so far my store is expected to have 2 times the amount of PS4's compared to Xbox One's.
Scale for reviews is the same, the price you pay literally dictates the amount of content you should expect.
Like you said, arcade game for 10 bucks, or full on release for 60 bucks. Shoot, if a game is FREE, still doesn't matter, it's a game and is reviewed on the same 1-5, 1-10, 1-100 whatever scale is used.
The article does not mention a downgrade from previous versions, with the exception of Forza 4 having MSAA anti-aliasing in place, where Forza 5 has a very ineffective AA method in place that makes the game look rough.
The overall point is sacrifices were made to make 1080p, like the AA trade off and overall details of the environment to keep the game running Full HD at 60fps.
Reason people are reacting this way is the new hardware should have no problem runn...
What about the anti aliasing then? That's a very standard feature that other games don't seem to have a problem implementing to SOME degree of success.
Of course, every launch game should be held to the same standard, just because this happens to be the only 1080p/60fps game doesn't give it a free pass.
The PS launch games that hit 1080p/60fps were graded and scrutinized like any other.
Just a shame as a gamer to see a game struggling with what is supposed to be the "next gen" standard, Full HD.
Aaaaand this is why the ESRB doesn't rate online interactions.
I can tell you right now they have some, shoot my store isn't even hiding it. You can look back in the warehouse while the doors are open and see about 50 PS4's sitting on a pallet just waiting for next week.
I did not vegeta,
I work at a specific retailer and get a discount on things, like HDMI cables, so I got a AudioQuest Vodka cable for my PS4.
While I agree it's nice to see this fix, you know every gamer doesn't go to gaming websites or would think it was an HDMI issue.
My PS4 was working fine, but because I visit N4G I knew to check my HDMI port before plugging in my wire, just in case.
But everyone else who doesn't frequent these sites are likely lost and don't know what the heck is going on, good reason to be worried.
Bottom line these things happen, just a shame...
Only a little north of 3 grand.
Totally worth it /s
4K is nice and all, haven't seen 4K on a monitor (32" size) yet. After seeing it on a 55" TV, make me doubtful you are getting any benefit from going 4K small scale. What would the pixel density be like on such a small screen? Can you even notice it?
