The "Only Does Everything" tagline is clearly a hyperbole. That is why it is acceptable to advertise.

But as far as Other OS. If you truly wanted other OS you could have kept it and not played more up to date games. But obviously not many want to do that, except for the scientists with the super computer clusters.

Sadly though features can be removed from all consoles, it is in the Terms and Conditions.

It's possible they could go with DX11. Even thought the companies compete I doubt MS would have a problem with that.

But even this Gen DX and OpenGL seem to be on par. Hard to argue that DX is better when I look at God of War. Don't get me wrong, I know DX is good, it is more or less the hardware keeping it from full potential. But games like God of War convince me OpenGl can hold it's own.

People keep saying marketing is to cover up lies. But it isn't.

Only shady companies lie to the public. Real marketing is portraying features that EXIST. Not every company lies you know.

I could give you countless examples of modern day commercials, etc... that do not lie. There is a reason for that, lying about a product is illegal.

But Mass Effect 3 won't be learning your name.

All it is doing is simple voice recognition. Has been done many times in the past with simple microphones for games like Tom Clancy's End War.

The only difference is Kinect has a library of words, pronunciations, etc.... That make it easier to enable voice recognition. At least that is what the devs say.

The difference is in the AD. I don't remember a 4D advertisement shown on TV. Maybe it was said, but not sure if it was ever advertised.

And as FatOldMan said, the 4th dimension of space is apparently time, so not really a lie.

Now I agree it is marketing, but it is ILLEGAL to to publicly market features for a product that simply do not exist.

The only way they would get away with this is if it was possible. But then the quality comes ...

@Boletarian.

Your statement is not 100% correct. Watch the following video. They allude to some visual effects being run on the SPU's only, such as motion blur, bloom, while others are a mix between the GPU and CPU.

So not "everything visual related" is handled by the GPU. Which makes it easy to argue again...

Agreed, I was skeptical, saw a 3D movie in RealD 3D, was slightly impressed.

Then I played Motorstorm on a 106 inch Mammoth Projector in 3D, was nothing short of astounded.

Have yet to try KZ3 or GT5 (My small 3D collection) in 3D, but I'm looking forward to that.

@Kneon

That is what I was getting at. Breaks are fine, I doubt many would play straight through without a break. Even on the 4 hour races I took breaks, left the game paused for 20 mins, etc...

@Grip

Relax man. And I compared it to real life regarding the 24 hours of racing. They do have 24 hour races in real life, they just split it between drivers. Which is what I said in my previous comment. Invite a few friends over to help out.

5421d ago 5 agree2 disagreeView comment

Those races are only designed for the most elite Gran Turismo fans. Not to mention they are not required to beat the game, just to Platinum the game.

The fact that they are adding a mid race save feature is a sort of cheat for those who either can't devote the time due to other commitments, or just can't handle 24 hours of racing.

In reality on these 24hr races people take turns driving, maybe they expect you do that with the game, pass the controlle...

Thank you, well said.

I started on COD4 this generation for my FPS and Multiplayer fix.

Then moved on to Killzone, Battlefield, little MAG, etc....

Only fools think COD is only for noobs who can't play any other game. I dominate and get destroyed in almost any FPS I play. Whether it be COD, KZ, Battlefield, etc...

Point is, I have varying experiences with all of them. If they were really that different, would I keep a ...

With success comes hate, to some degree.

That is almost a given. If I were a CEO of a Fortune 500 company, someone would hate, or dislike, the fact that I make so much money.

No one is being racist in this thread at the point of me posting this. So why bring it up? You're looking at color, others are responding to his reaction/opinion on this new TV. See the difference?

You could even get the i5 2500 and save a few bucks but get a significant increase in performance.

If you want some overclocking get the k series i5 2500.

Depends, what console was it on?

Haha, just kidding, but these articles are dumb.

Borderline slander if you ask me.

Agreed, a good Beta experience so far on my end as well.

I downloaded it last night and started it up about 2 hours ago. No complaints yet.

I love the fallout style games.

If Rage is anything like that, which I know it is, it should be nothing less than a good time.

Now to add this to my Amazon cart for Preorder.

When a new device releases you would expect it to outsell a declining device (PSP). But lately the PSP has been on an upswing, not entirely sure why.

Either way sales do matter to developers. I have heard of at least 1 cancelled 3DS game due to poor sales.

Sales don't make games better, but it makes developers more interested in actually supporting the platform.

@KwietStorm

In KZ2 it was possible at times to get spawn trapped to the point where it felt like escape wasn't an option. Unless of course you had someone risk themselves to get out a tactical spawn point.

I haven't felt like that yet in KZ3. Now to be fair I haven't been gaming online as much lately, so I don't have the same hours logged in to KZ3 as KZ2.

5424d ago 6 agree0 disagreeView comment

Well it isn't the entire dev team from Killzone 3, just one guy. I personally like his work with Level design in KZ3.

And I'm not so sure about Halo fans hating Killzone, I play both, don't see a problem with that.

Yes, their $220 (Amazon Pricing) i5 2500k which beats the AMD counterparts on the market is completely overpriced. /s

Closest AMD competition for performance runs for $180. If you get the i5 2500 that is only a $30 difference, with the k version being $40.

(Phenom X6 Black edition 1100t cost $10 more, but under performs when compared to the X4 975)

I am not speaking on experience, but rather others experiences I've researched when lookin...
