I've NEVER bashed a system based on delays aside from getting frustrated with Nintendo over the whole Zelda:TP thing.
MOST games - that turn out well and are not rushed for ALL systems get delayed. I'll name a few for all systems - Metroid Prime 3, Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, Oblivion - (360 and PS3), Motorstorm, Mass Effect, FFXIII, Crackdown, Half-Life 2 for 360 and PS3, Too human, Assasin's Creed, Brother in Arms 3...I could go on.
This list includes exclusives...
With Shivering Isles,Crackdown, GRAW 2 and God of War 2, my Spring videogame funds were already spent.
The Halo 2 Map pack was a disk that only worked with conjuction with a previously purchased game - Halo 2. In other words, you had to own Halo 2 to use the Map pack. Why can't the same be done with Shivering Isles?
I am a Gold Live Member, so it doesn't affect me, but it seems they are losing out on some potential sales. the simple solution would be for it to be a few more dollars for the retail disk version to cover the expense of the actual disk, case, shipping, retail store's ...
like the guy who was telling a customer December 05 that he'd have to pay $5 per game for the software download to play them on the 360 (backwards compatible).
But most of them seem to play games and, like us, LOVE to share their ALL KNOWING opinions. They'll tell you what they think - even if is is dumb.
I wouldn't have guessed that the Japanese liked this type of game. Shows what I know! I think the fact that it is selling at all is big news.
Gotta hand it to MS. They are (very) slowly gaining ground in Japan - perseverence pays! This is good for us in the US as Japanese developers will continue to develop for the 360.
is featured on the cover of the new OXM. According to the article, it will be downloadable content - no word about space or price.
They also hinted at an "inevitable GOTY edition" with all extra content included.
Think about it - this is similar to Half-Life's "episodes". It is paving the way to no disks. We are going to need larger HDs. But, games might be less expensive w/o an actual disk/box/manual/ shipping costs to stores and cutting out the ...
you didn't make some lame excuse. You addressed the complaints honestly and without hype and you did not attack anyone else.
Do you realize that your professional manner may prevent you from advancing your career!!
You make a good point. With the 360, my experience is that an online game has a relatively short life cycle before people move on to something else. I know there are the "hardcore" Halo 2, COD 2, CS and GRAW people, but in general, I read on Xbox forums how games like Quake 4, PDZero and Prey have very little online activity.
I'm not blaming because I'm that way too! Do I play Gears, COD3, R6:Vegas, SC:DA??? - I own them all - so confusing. There is something to be sai...
more and more excited about this game the more I read about it - six days until the demo!!!
I pre-ordered it also - I can always cancel if the demo sucks and poor reviews start coming in, but I don't see that happening.
Sites kinda irritable today!
Look what happened with Rare. MS bought them; they put out average titles at best - yes I know Viva Pinata received strong critical acclaim - but now some of those Rare employees are leaving. You can buy the company, but you cannot buy the people.
Without the backing of a huge corporation, software developers HAVE to put out a good product to survive. I believe Perfect Dark Zero would have been much better had Rare been independent.
Ok.......GO!!!
It wasn't as of last night, but I'm at work now and can't check.
Anyway, I just picked up this game yesterday, and it is amazing - assuming you like the COD series. LIVE play was so intense, easy to pick up and a blast to play.
I had "New Role-playing game" pre-ordered at Gamestop!! Guess I'll have to settle for FFXIII, Mass Effect, Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey and White Knight...oh well.
EDIT: Yes I realize some of the games I've listed are 360 exclusives...but I have a 360, so, well...yeah.
Are you kidding me!?! WOW!!!
The game premise is creepy/suspenseful as it is, but with these graphics, it should be really immersive and freaky! Can't wait!
Besides, GTAIII didn't have the greatest graphics and look how it did both critically and commercially.
Bottom line - the game looks fun and it seems to add to the genre. A must own for me provided the demo plays well - that will be the deciding factor.
You know how people are with a perceived shortage. Zelda:TP for the 'cube was rumored to be in short supply and people were buying them for $80.
And worth every penny. The game is simply brilliant.
Ken and Bill are actually the same person - think about it!
I'm not into being a gangster/pimp, so this game fulfills my "sandbox" needs. Besides, my bro-in-law and I were able to get in a co-op game together - now he's buying the game. It's just FUN!
