I'm sure this will be a good game, but I'm just not interested.
Lately, we're lucky if a shooter breaks 10 hours. Plus, this game has allows a deliberate slower pace that some prefer(me).
The demo was amazing - giving just enough of a taste so to show the potential of the full game - so 20 amazing hours! Reminds me of RE4...good company to be in.
that there was not a clear street date marked as there was for Madden 08 and other games...so they sold the five copies they received in their first shipment. I was about an hour too late and missed the last one. I guess I'll just get the copy I reserved at Gamestop...
1) Too much money for a good gaming PC compared to a console
2) Like the couch experience
3) I like not having to hunt down special drivers and patches to make it work on my system
4) RTS games becoming better and better on consoles
5) No interest in MMO
6) I don't have enough time to play what I have as it is.
I went into TRU this morning - they were sent only 5 copies and already sold out. Obviously they are expecting another shipment.
They said there was no release date listed like there was on Madden 08, so they figured they could sell them.
In any case - we're only 6 days away. If you can't wait that long, I'm concerned about you!
An eerie, creepy game that reeks of quality and production value and doesn't let you go - pulling you in from the first second.
This is the evolution that the FPS genre desperately needed!
Went in and talked with a very nice employee. She said that there was no release date on the box like there was for Madden 08, so they figured they could go ahead and sell them.
My local Target said "no way" as did the Gamestop where I reserved a copy.
Offer some maps for free at launch for download to even it out.
Since this is a multiplayer game anyway - I'm guessing a HUGE percentage of buyers will have LIVE - even so, Silver members could download the maps if they just want to play with bots.
This bloody war for the consumers gaming dollar is good for gamers. Only a fool wants one console to decimate the other.
Look at Madden. They stepped up their game this year because of competition - something they didn't have the last 2 years.
Look at the great games coming out for all consoles - look at the exclusives for both consoles. Only the most deluded fanboy would say that none of the announceed games for either system appeals to them.
They said maybe this afternoon or tomorrow - this is in Kansas City. Honestly, I really want this game, but I can wait until next Tuesday.
Plus I was the third person to call within the last 5 minutes according to the employee.
This is what really matters to understand if this number is significant. My guess that the brick and mortar retailers - Best Buy and Wal-Mart sell many more units of all three consoles.
I've missed good SP games. Lately, most games I have bought have been for LIVE play. I haven't even started the tutitorial in GRAW 2, but have got my money's worth in LIVE play - same with Vegas - I've only beat the campaign in co-op - not SP.
The Bioshock demo was amazing, and the actual game is going to blow us away. The pacing is just my style - slow, strategic and intentional - not run-and-gun.
The demo seemed to fly by because I was so immersed - it is a ...
Your comment reminded me of a study I read that showed that playing games REDUCED stress and aggressive feelings - rather than increase them. It can be an outlet for frustration and tension, similar to exercise.
The problem is that emotionally sick people get a hold of a game and it plays into their behavior. I remember in the 80s when I started playing D&D - and all the claims that it was demonic and influencing kids. The thing was - what these crazy people were doing w...
Dr. Phil's show is a circus one step down from Jerry Springer. The stuff he pulls would cost him his license if done in a private practice setting - specifically the way he rudely confronts guests. Yes, confrontation is necessary, but you must be respectful. And he very rarely gets to the core of an issue - he is more of a "life coach" than a therapist - at least on his show. I can't comment on his therapeutic approach before Oprah took him under her wing.
As far ...
I didn't die once during the demo - came close. I kinda expected I would.
The game certainlym wasn't "easy", but ususally there is a learning curve and mistakes are made. Perhaps its a testament to the good tutatorial...
The game is very accessible - more than I thought it would be. The environments lend themselves to playing strategically.
Very cool! This is one of my must buy games of the fall.
Can I come over and play? sounds like you have a SWEET setup!
Mr. Average Gamer doesn't have a clue about the systems specs, read reviews and can enjoy mediocre(by our standards) licensed titles.
That's reality.
And I am impressed! I wasn't really in to this game before, but now I'll buy it. With the Tequila time like Max Payne and Precision Aiming and all the cool moves, you really feel like an action hero - as was advertised.
The delay sucks for 360 owners, just because they will have to wait to play this game.
just because fanboys are desperately looking for something negative about the "other" console - forcing companies to administer damage control.
