Ditto everything fjtorres said.
If you like Diablo, you will like Two Worlds. Its as simple as that.
Here's hoping!
Notice I said "reviewS" not "review". I also check the forums...
Reading a few reviews gives me a concensus of the gameplay, game length, and whether I will enjoy it or not.
I've never regretted buying a game that I purchased after reading a few reviews.
No problems! I even beat a Big Daddy w/o dying on the hard difficulty - thank you Mr. Grenade Launcher!
Controlled well, but it was VERY linear and the time thing was nothing special. The graphics were good, but the environment was typical war torn stuff - it was like a modern Call of Duty with blasted out buildings.
I saw objects in the game that I thought I should be able to interact with, but to no avail.
Since playing Bioshock, the standard has been raised.
"Another solid shooter" does not interest me. They are now a dime a dozen.
Interesting, but I guess it depends on how the first one sells.
Yeah, its mindless Diablo-like level grinding, but I was tired and not in the mood for the intensity of Bioshock.
So I pop in Two Worlds, and I'm only a few hours in, but I'm having fun - no crashes, no slow frame rates - load times, yes. I can kill some enemies easily now - the rest I just run from.
The quests are interesting enough. Heck, I'm entertained. Yes, it could and should have had more polish, and I'll expect it if there is a sequel.
I...
A "November" release had me nervous about another delay. Now that they have nailed down a firm date, I'm excited - and relaxed.
Preorder is already in.
Its cheesey, cliche for the genre and so overdone, you can't help but laugh at it - where some find it annoying, I find it light hearted and hilarious.
The framerate is not bad - it loads from time to time like Oblivion does...and the interface is kinda clunky, but it works.
Imagine Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance with an open world like Oblivion and a movable camera(not fixed. That's the game - tons of weapons, monsters, items, and quests. Huge Game.
Its not for everyone, but for some of us, its great!
is not as powerful as a PC that is a couple thousand? I certainly hope so!
still works perfectly...
I was so worried it was going to get delayed to 2008.
Funny stuff!
You knew what was happening, and it was done in a tasteful manner.
The PS3 version comes out later as it is - anywhere from two weeks to months later. Adding this feature will delay games further and increase development costs - money they will likely not recoup.
The video looked great - and I hope some first or second party games implement this. It reminds me of the promises of Fable from Molyneaux when it was first revealed.
Everyone cites the framerate as an issue - but it seems playable for some and unplayable for others.
There is a theme, though, of people liking it more and more as they get further into it. I guess there is no tutorial, and things can be confusing early on.
I've also read good things about the story, but the dialogue is horrible by all reports.
Personally, I'm waiting for a large number of actual reviews before making a decision.
It keeps a game in publication so people can get it later on - not everyone can afford or want to pay $50-60 for games.
The PS2 is still selling well - and why not with all the "Greatest Hits" they have available. You can get great games for cheap.

A few guys have it and are reporting the multiplayer near unplayable due to framerate, though SP seems to be very good.
Gears was far superior as is Bioshock.
Yes the game plays well - its nothing different than the other games as far as SP goes - which is great, but there's not that "WOW!" factor
LIVE play is diverse and will last for a few years - into the lifecycle of the next console. - This is where Halo 3 will shine.
