I liked the demo, but I won't be buying the game. Pulling off a series of tricks would take a lot of practice and patience because approach angles and speed and timing need to be dead on.
It would be very satisfying to pull a line of stunts - for a select few. Its accesible in that any bonehead can pull off a basic trick, but to master it will take patience. With TH - ANYONE can pull off amazing looking and feeling combos - and with the success of the Wii - something tells...
They are a great value - a quality product. I hope to be in the market for an LCD soon, and I will definitely check these out.
You are so right in your original post. It is sad when positive news for a game/system is negative news in the eyes of a fanboy or vise versa.
True gamers are glad when ANY game gets a good review - its another great game to play! And they are glad when a system is selling well because it means the industry is doing well and it is good for competition and competition is good for consumers.
All these reviews have me bursting at the seams to play it!
This concerns me. Sometimes a company does not send a review copy out because they expect poor reviews and don't want it to hinder day one sales. Sometimes reviews have to buy the retail version in order to write a review - which means play time, writing and editing the article - so it might not come for a week or longer after the game releases...
Meanwhile Bioshock sends out an incredible demo and already has tons of incredible reviews so no one who was remotely intereseted ...
What I care about is the consensus of the reviews and my own personal experience playing the game.
One thing is a given. I am going to love playing the full version of the game. What more needs to be said?
Now its going to have to get FANTASTIC reviews and feedback from gamers for me to get it - I'm talking an average above 90%.
There's just too many great games coming in the next few months that are higher priority.
I bet it looks amazing glowing in the dark!
I also like the white disk tray more than the chrome - it just looks more substantial.
MS should hire this guy to help design the next console.
Co-op as a single player feature! Maybe they meant as a new way to enjot the SP campaign...regardless, it is a great feature as I've had a blast playing Halo 2 co-op split screen...
The Jedi Outcast games did a decent job of implementing force powers. The key for this game is going to be pulling off over the top moves with relative simplicity - like God of War's control scheme.
I'm surer the graphics and content will be there - its all about gameplay!
EVERY console has games that are SUPPOSED to be fantastic. Some of those games live up to the hype - and some don't.
The PS3 does not need Lair to succeed. People are acting as if the PS3 is now doomed because of a few less than spectacular Lair reviews.
Its ONE game, people. Geez!
Wahooo!!!! Tuesday night is going to be a VERY late night.
The graphics are almost always pretty comparable. The important differences are when there is framerate differences or extra/deleated content.
Graphical differences that are barely visible - and only if you are looking for them do not affect gameplay enjoyment.
Deus Ex 2 was an amazing game with poor framerate - I still loved it, but if it was smooth, it would have been a classic.
I don't get the LE unless it has extra gameplay - characters etc - like how Jade Empire had an additional character to choose.
I love good online play - its why I bought a 360 - and the 360 has delivered bigtime, but Warhawk looks like an absolute blast. Keep it up, Sony and you'll have my inevitable purchase of a PS3 sooner rather than later!
Need more time and money - any suggestions?
Hardcore gamers are not becoming casual gamers.
Previous non-gamers are becoming casual gamers.
Some casual gamers will inevitably become hardcore.
Zombies/mutants/aliens don't scare me. Demons and supernatural stuff does. Its the reason Doom freaked me out and RE4 didn't at all.
Seriously - this stuff will give me nightmares. Its too bad, because I passed on FEAR, but I will be getting Bioshock so its all good.
They used to say word of mouth was powerful, but now its word of forums.
Its an amazing thing, but like most good things, there are negatives - and this is one of them.
I read multiple reviews to get a consenus - as well as check out forums to get opinions if I am unsure about a game. Currently I'm waiting for feedback on Two Worlds.
