sony is trying to outsoftware a software company, and not a small one at that.

it wouldn't take much of an update to get the 360 to recognize the HDdvd drive as a second drive to read games from...seriously, it's just a software update, it's not like they coudn't do it if they wanted.
as much as they try to deny it, the capability is there...
1080p has always been possible through component output. but is not the preferred method that movie studios want as it does not allow for copy protection(not like HDMI would have been circumvented at some point anyway), and that's why they don't want you to hear about it.

the had real time gameplay at E3 and it looked great. hence why many reviewers/websites voted it best game at E3, the only game that beat it in some was mass effect(yup, another 360 EXCLUSIVE).
regardless of screenshots real or not, the gameplay looks fantastic, and this is why it has sold, not from hype. Sony should try putting out some gameplay footage, instead of hiding how "great" their product is.
