HD dvd and blu ray are almost obsolete already as they are now talking about terabytes of storage on a CD thanks to a new laser technology, that is going to be commercially ready next year.
I wasn't trying to start anything, the ps3 will do well, as will all consoles as the market is expected to expand drastically.
all I was saying is that I am sick of the arrogance the execs at the sony offices who give no repect to the intelligence and loyalty of their fans.
they have become like MA BELL in their thinking of "hey, we're the phone comany, what are you gonna do about it".
and those phone comanies are losing business faster than they can...
There is all different kinds of people in the world, nice folks, jerks, idiots, people who are too happy, people who want to cheat.
XBL is no different. most of the people I've met are great, and I have a good time talking and playing with them.
There isn't anything wrong with trashtalking, it sometimes brings out better competition.
as the article said, mute the annoying people, report the cheaters, move on with your day.
when I see something that proves to me it's actual gameplay, like the footage of resistance that's been shown, then I'll believe it.
Till then, this is just more trailer BS. just like I didn't believe the GOW trailers, but now I have seen ingame, and I know it looks good. I didn't believe the resistance footage, but now I have seen gameplay, and it looks good.

I do, unfortunately this movie does blow. It's the the exact same goofy stupid colin farrel character we've seen in every movie, every skit since saturday night live...and it's gotten old.

I still don't see any proof that this is actual gameplay...I mean what's with the camera movement? gameplay doesn't do that. show me in car, speedometer, y'know gameplay vids.
on a plus I like the physics of the bodies flying about!
It's not a matter of which is technically better, it's knowing when to not try and change the world with another format, resulting in bad business decisions. if not for blu-ray how many here would already be playing ps3's?

you need to get it exchanged. sounds like you have one with a samsung drive, which is quite noisy.

Sony is setting themselves into a niche market, they are making high end equipment that is out of price for the general market. they can keep doing that, but they need to do like others have done, and come out with a low end brand that joe average can afford.

but I don't think it will get to the point that he mentioned. I don't like what sony is doing with grand turismo, I think that takes it to far, and I think gamers will respond accordingly, much like they did with the horse armor in oblivion, fanboys bought it, but the rest didn't.
Marketplace is like everything else, if it's worth the money, people will buy it, if it's not, they won't. The useless saint's row pack is more proof.
