MS marketing is quite smart, toshiba could benefit from the same tactics.
some people love the retro stuff and want to play it to relive their old arcade days but without the PC mouse and keyboard.

MS should hurry up and release an arcade style joystick though...would spur more interest.

I understand the idea, what I fail to see is it's interpretation in relation to the ps3. It may be brilliant, but their target market won't get it. which means it's dumb from a marketing perspective.

unfortunately 10 years down the road, the ps3 will be way out of date, and no longer being played. It will not a masterpiece that we will still be marvelling at for the rest of history.
The clock is just there to display the current time, not to represent time in the physical world. the clock may become organic and distort, but time remains constant, and will not change, distort, decompose or whatever.

as far as the 1080P goes, I have seen movies in both formats, and notice no difference between 1080i/1080p. I doubt games will be any different, but I guess we'll find out.
while any icrease is nice, they still only sold 2000. they are a long way off from a "turnaround".
as long as I can still find and play with them, I don't care if it's ranked or not.
I have little interest in it as the launch lineup looks pretty blah for me. maybe if something comes out later.
but I did get a pre-order, as a buddy of mine works at ebgames, although they don't know yet if their store will actually get one. If I get one, it will be selling and bidding will probably start around 1200$, but we'll see how the market goes...
