if it's 22 gigs of gameplay. I'm impressed. if it's 6 gigs of game play, and the rest is cinematics, cutscenes, and a behind the scenes footage of "the making of", then not so much...

there is no reason to think the ps3 will be quieter just cause the dev kit is, it means nothing. it may be, and hopefully it is, as the first 360's were quite noisy(the dvd drive anyway), although current ones i've seen don't see to have the same noise the originals did.
heat may be a concern as one above poster mentioned, there are alot more vents on the dev kit than what we've seen from shots of retail ps3's. but who knows...
read most of the technical reviews on 1080p, they all since that in is little to no difference between 1080i and 1080p, unless you are watching it on a tv larger than 60 inches, and from a distance of less than 8 ft.
go read for yourself, google helps:). there are many good things to argue about when it comes to the 360 and ps3, but 1080p vs 1080i/720p is not one of them.
not me, i'll be happily sitting at home playing gears of war and figuring what else to spend my 600$ on:)
I feel bad for people who think they will actually be able to get one on launch day. I have spoken to a # of people I know who run game stores, and most of them have said they will be taking at least 1/2 their stock if not more and selling it online for probably double the price.
that and I doubt sony will actually have 2 million ready for launch.

it does have 8 cores, however only 7 are active, 1 is redundant, you see they expect 1 of the cores to FAIL from time to time, so they have the eighth core to kick in. If they expect 1 to fail from time to time, I wonder what happens when 2 fail?
so you pick some of the crappy games that have come out, you didn't mention, GRAW, oblivion. or some of the nice stuff coming like mass effect and GOW, and of course halo.

sony missed the boat on this one, the MS marketing behemoth was already in full swing a few months before launch, and all sony seems to do is bury their heads in the sand and let the bad news crap on them. they need to kick it up a notch if they want success after the hardcore fanbase sells the first few million.
I heard from another sales rep that it it will be 1500$ for the drive, MS really wants sony to win..DUH!

what bugs me is all the replies to the article that say "she should be fired", "I'm not reading/buying the magazine again". are they so blind with fanboyism that the now hate someone for telling the truth about how they feel? anything that puts down sony suddenly deserves agression/attacks?
I know many sony fans that are thinking the same thing, It's too expensive, and they are either going to buy a 360, or wait till the price comes down in a few years.
no surprises on the numbers, I though wii would be higher on the exclusives. but MS has been hard at work getting the exclusives. the scary part is that it doesn't mention the XBLA titles, which must be another 100+.
so they've stopped production on 2 RPG's, thanx for clarifying the HUGE difference between the posted article and the "truth".
they join a big list of games that are no longer going to be produced for the system.

seriously folks, relax. This may very well be a great game, although why put it down, or say it's the greatest thing since sliced bread when it isn't even out yet?
I love that MS is giving sony a run for their money, competition is good, and it means the only winner is the gamers. If one company dominates, they don't work as hard.
