@LaChance
Enjoy Titan Fall. But while you look at having it as a victory for Xbox fans, it's only ONE win in a war of many battles. The next-gen is only just beginning and if the history of current-gen has taught us anything, SONY has came out on top with the most revered exclusives.
Where was this a WEEK ago???
Ugh!
I think it's ridiculous people continue to compare Saints Row to GTA. Saints Row has went in a completely different direction and is NOTHING like GTA nowadays. I can see comparing it to games like Crackdown and Prototype, but if you are still comparing it to GTA, you need to get a clue and stop.
Considering GTA V launches in about 3 weeks, the timing of this article couldn't be better.
But just ONCE, I'd love to see the media (and politicians) blame BAD PARENTING rather than play the "video games are bad" card over and over again.
HEY! No posting FAKE spoilers!
Saints Row IV is in no way, shape or form similar to GTA V. Trust me on this.
SPOILER: The game's ending is it's credits. They scroll. Upward.
Realistic is nice, but if it's down to every detail, why bother playing a game? Just go outside. Although, I guess it would be kinda funny if I robbed a bank, is being chased by the cops in a high speed chase.. and suddenly my car's fuel light comes on and it starts stalling on me, leaving me no choice, but to take on the cops in a grisly gun fight.
I don't think I'd bother buying next-gen games used for awhile. For one, they won't be available too soon after launch. And when they do finally become available, places like GameStop won't discount them by much (maybe $5) from the price of a new copy.. and that price will remain consistent for at least a year or so, as next-gen games will be highly sought after as more and more people buy into next-gen.
Agreed. I immediately started thinking of the first Godfather game and how awesome it would be to bring the Saints sense of humor to an era like that.
Yea, that is definitely one thing that bothered me during Sony's presentation. They kept showing all this great stuff and then like every 2 seconds they were showing crowd shots, instead of focusing on what was going on on stage. Like I cared what the crowd was doing.
I'm probably going to pass on this game. Between now and November 15, my current-gen new release "wants" is already pretty stacked. Otherwise, I'd be all over it.
Phil Spencer saying that makes me question Microsoft's intentions that much more.
Sure, they reversed their policies about used games, DRM and now with Kinect's requirement, but that statement has to make you wonder if they will force those policies back on gamers later down the road once the Xbox One gets in enough homes.
I'd rather have something else.
Twisted Metal > Assassin's Creed III.
I've always hated the whole reputation deal on Xbox Live. I have a few marks against me for "cussing". Thing is, I have NEVER used a mic while playing. So, that would be impossible. Yet, a whole 30% of my negative rep, says I'm a cusser.
* The mic on my Kinect is turned OFF. I know this for sure.
Not much to do in their parent's basement of a bedroom other than play games, jerk it and make jokes about the "other guys".
Good opportunity for Microsoft to swoop in and release the Xbox One a week or 2 before.
It's your punishment for getting better Playstation Plus freebies.
I was also hoping for October, but this gives me more time to enjoy GTAV and I'll have time to play Batman: Arkham Origins, before going next-gen.
I'm going to go put an application in. As much as they rotate managers at my local GameStop, I should be a manager within 3 weeks.
