Those changes Xbox made to it's XMB weren't always great changes, though. I hate the Kinect friendly, Windows 8 UI it's currently using. And I hate how they buried things that were easy to find before. A lot of those themes I bought back in the day can't even be used now.
The PS3's could definitely use an updated look.. and I hope the PS4's is something special, but I get the philosophy of not fixing what isn't broken.
Just reading that quote, I don't see how that's a slight advantage to Xbox One.. if anything, they are the SAME in that way. Your PSN account (trophies, friends, etc.) will carry over to the PS4, as well.

Last I heard, Sony and Microsoft were pretty much neck and neck on sales of the PS3 and Xbox 360. That's with Microsoft having a full year's lead and Sony's PS3 launch being a total disaster.
If Christmas was in January or February, that might be true.
The delays would suggest LATE November. Probably either the 22nd or 26th.
No.. October 29 is. That's when Battlefield 4 and, I think, Assassin's Creed IV comes out. Most notable about November 5 is Call Of Duty: Ghost.
I would prefer a new Battlfield: Bad Company game over Call Of Duty and Battlefield.

I don't see how you can just dismiss how good this game might be without playing it first. To each his own, but I like to hold off my opinion of something until I've actually tried it.
If it's true, I'm sure Microsoft will confirm it at Gamescom.
Personally, I doubt it's true, but I'm keeping an open mind to the possibility considering all the changes Microsoft has been making since E3. Making it where Kinect is no longer required could be the reason for this.
To those of you complaining, don't worry. You are less than a month away from getting your wish when GTAV releases.
In the meantime, I'm going to enjoy the hell out of the outrageous, silly, comical, nonsense that is Saints Row IV, because that's what it is intended to be. Not another GTA clone that so many of you apparently want it to be.
Everybody knows PC can and will always dominate when it comes to graphics. A better comparison would be between the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii U.

I've been playing it. It's not that bad if you are into those old school type of games. The dialogue is a bit much, though.. for whatever reason, I haven't tried skipping it, but it feels a bit stretched out. Overall, I'm liking it. It brings back memories.
3D seemed like a trade-off to me. Picture quality wasn't as good as seeing the movie in 2D. On top of that, I always have popcorn with loads of butter on it and I always end up getting a smudge on my glasses, which sometimes give me a headache.
It's just not worth the extra cost.

That's actually whats scaring me. Typically, when a game first releases, it gets high praise from just about everywhere. Then the "new" wears off and that's when you start seeing the more honest reviews. DuckTales is already getting a lot of bad reviews.
I'm going to keep an open mind about it, though, because I figure a lot of the reviews are from teenage or 20-somethings, spoiled to Call Of Duty and Halo, that never had the pleasure of playing a gam...
I can't see Microsoft announcing a price drop of any kind at this point. They would get mad hate over it considering so many people have already preordered at the $500 price. That is, unless they would honor the cheaper price and refund the extra money people have already spent. Then they would probably be the most loved company in the world.
Next they'll change the name to Xbox 720.

Complaining can be a good thing. Sony heard the complaints, recognized the problem and didn't make the same mistake with the PS4. Ultimately, the complaints resulted in a better console for us and a better, more profitable console for Sony and the developers.
Constructive criticism can do wonders.
