They should have done this a LOT sooner. The Xbox One is pretty much sold out everywhere, so anyone who was turned off by Kinect before the reversal, who would want to switch their preorder from PS4 to Xbox One, can't.

Rechargeable AA is the best bet. Easy to charge and easy to replace. Practically every store sells rechargeable batteries. They cost a little more, but they'll save you tons of $$$ in the long-run.
Teenagers are out of school enjoying the sun, working summer jobs. People are on vacation. Besides that, summer isn't a popular release time for AAA titles, so there is no incentive to be buying any new games. Those that are playing them are catching up on what they've bought in the past year and everybody is preparing for all the Fall releases.
Do I even need to mention people spending HUNDREDS on PS4 and Xbox One?
The Vita is awesome. Sony has just done a piss poor job marketing it. But if rumors are true and there is an affordable PS4/Vita bundle in our future, there is no reason to believe the Vita is dead just yet.
It's probably nothing, but interesting they are adding 3 months. If a subscribers account would have expired on August 27, the 3 extra months would keep their membership active till November 27.. 2 days before Black Friday.
I don't see why anyone would defend Microsoft for putting an app like Netflix behind it's pay wall. No. I didn't realize that. It totally fooled me. I mean, I spent nearly 60 hours playing that game thinking the whole time what a blast I was having playing it. I thought it was fun.. enjoyable.. pleasurable. I played and played and played some more. When I wasn't playing it all I could do was think about playing it. It got me good. Thank you so much for enlightning me. Now I know the truth and that all that joy I felt playing Saints Row: The Third was ALL LIES!
I'm really looking forward to Saints Row IV. I bought Saints Row: The Third about a year ago, played it for about an hour and never touched it again, eventually selling my copy. Then it became a Playstation Plus freebie last month and I ended up playing it for nearly 60 HOURS! Bought the DLC season pass and got the platinum trophy. Out of nowhere, that game hit me like a hardcore crack addiction.
So, yea... I want some more!
Preorders are one thing, but it'll be really interesting to see how sales go over the course of 2014, as these consoles will then be in people's homes, blowing minds, doing amazing things. THEN we'll start to see which is the preferred console.
(Keyword being "preferred". Not necessarily meaning better.)

I agree with you about selling cars, but keep in mind, a $60 game doesn't really compare to a $20,000 vehicle. Auto executives are making millions of $$$ selling new cars, but the people on the clock actually putting the cars together are probably lucky to clear $50,000/year.

I have nothing against GameStop. They offer a service. It's up to YOU if you choose to use it.
If you don't like the amount they are offering in trade-ins, it's simple.. trade (sell) your games elsewhere. You are not being forced to trade them. It's an option. A choice. A personal decision. The responsibility is on you. Not GameStop.

Sony announced at E3 that a PS4 game would be added to the Instant Game Collection EVERY month, starting with Drive Club.
That's 12 PS4 games for just $50 a year that would otherwise cost $720 (at $60 each). For $720, I could have Playstation Plus for over 14 years. In it's first year, we got over 60 games. That equals out to over 720 games over the course of the next 14 years.

Just as you are RENTING electricity, water, your internet service and cellphone service. If you don't pay for those services, they get CUT OFF and you can't use them anymore. With as many preorders the PS4 has, I can't see them announcing a PS4/Vita bundle this year. It could create problems with so many people changing their preorders around. I think instead, they'll wait till at least next year. That way, they can see if the PS4 some how boosts Vita sales on it's own.
I could see this being a good offer if games like Saints Row IV, GTA V and Batman: Arkham Origins would eventually be released next-gen within a year of their current-gen release, BUT I don't see why anyone would buy something like Watch_Dogs on a current-gen console if they know they are getting a next-gen console. That's just stupid.
I don't see how READING about what you should do on the battlefield is going to help anybody ON the battlefield. The best thing that will help you is EXPERIENCE. So, get out there and play. Take your hits, all the while, keep hitting back.

All these bad reviews are having me regret my first digital preorder.. Oh well, at least it was cheap. Not like I spent $60 on it. Hopefully, it's better than what a lot of reviews are saying.
