I'm getting PS4 and Xbox One at launch. I don't ever see me buying another PS3 or Xbox 360 game after GTAV next week.
This is actually what I'm afraid Playstation Plus will become once they require everyone to have it to play online. We will still get free games and discounts, but they won't be as good (or as frequent) as they are now.
Sony is getting a lot of love right now from fans, but don't be fooled.. They (and Microsoft) know how to play the BAD GUY, too.
Whatever happened to rewarding LOYALTY?
Being in the US, it's not that I'm mad about this, but I'll never understand how companies can screw over their most loyal customers and get away with it, while pandering to others. First, Microsoft did it by giving Europe a free game with their Xbox One, while giving their loyal US customers nothing. Now, Sony is making it's loyal Japan customers wait 3 months, so they can give us the PS4 early.
If on...
That's EXACTLY my point. Please re-read.
LOL @ the Call Of Duty success hate. It's as if the success of this game dictates every gamer here's life. All of you have a choice rather or not you want to buy it. If you do, enjoy it. If you don't, enjoy something else.
@xruiner89
I think BF4 is beating COD on PS3 pre-orders, but across ALL consoles, COD is dominating BF4.
NOT a good update; even if you're a Call Of Duty fan.
Looks good, but only wets my appetite to try out the Xbox One (and PS4) that much more myself. November can't get here soon enough.
How much more would it have cost to release it on the PS4/X1?
Small victories!
If I had to choose between the 2 without knowing anything about what's inside, I think I would go with the Xbox One box. It looks sleek, mysterious, mature...
kinda reminds me of Darth Vader.
I also like that the box is bigger, which would probably be enough for a lot of consumers to justify the extra $100, because bigger box means "bigger and better". Not saying that's necessarily true, but there are people who think like that.
GTA V on PS4?
I get companies wanting to make a profit, but it looks like the industry would be in okay shape right now considering the PS4 and Xbox One are easier to develop for than current-gen consoles. I know I heard that Knack would have taken an extra year to develop if it were on PS3, instead of PS4.
Speaking as someone who is getting both, the PS4 and Xbox One.. does it even matter that one is more powerful than the other? The PS3 was more powerful than the Xbox 360.. did that matter? The PS3 and Xbox 360 were WAY more powerful than the Wii.. did that matter?
Just as it happened with current-gen consoles, I fully expect the PS4 to have some amazing exclusives that no other console can compete with, BUT everything else, which will make up 99% of what's released, wil...
Fact: I couldn't get approved to post on GAF either.
Top reporting! Fox News better snatch her up before CNN does.
There is nothing wrong with the billboard. The news anchor in the video says the new billboard is for the "Nintendo Xbox".
Depends. Am I still even playing GTAV at that point? What kind of enhancements will there be? I bought GTAV digitally on PSN, will I be able to stream it through Gaikai? If not, can I upgrade for CHEAP?
Eventually. But at those prices and considering the success of the pre-orders, I wouldn't bet on a price drop for at least 3 years.. and even then, it'll only be for about $50.
Happy waiting!
I'm going with the digital version, too.. in hopes that I'll be able to play it on PS4 when Sony gets Gaikai up and running sometime in 2014.
