500 GB is too small, but I don't think they went full retard. They have always "started out" with small HDD. Why? Because they want you to upgrade, which puts more $$$ in their pockets.
I fill a 320 GB HDD on my PS3 in no time, so I knew a 500 GB wasn't going to hold s**t, especially with the size of next-gen games. But it's what they are giving us to work with right now. By the end of next-gen, I wouldn't be surprise if they are selling Xbox ...
@blackout
You seriously don't understand the cloud's storage.
Yes, it's unlimited and you can put as many game saves and profiles up their that your heart desires, but your games.. and all the games you DON'T have.. are all up there, too, waiting to be downloaded by you, just as the "on demand" games that are on PS3 and Xbox 360 are now. So, if you buy Dead Rising 3 or Killzone: Shadow Fall and download it, it'll still be up the...
@minimur12
That's actually an advantage to the cloud. All your saves and profiles can easily be pulled down from the clown to store on a new HDD. So, if you switched out HDD at some point, all you would have to do is reinstall whatever games you want on there.
A day one patch on PS4 or Xbox One is no big deal really. If you don't have internet - and I would assume you do if you are reading this - you could always just take your Xbox One to a friends or family members house and use their internet to register your Xbox One.. or maybe take it to a library and see if they will allow you to log-on. A lot of hospitals have HDTVs and free wi-fi in their waiting rooms. Carry your Xbox One in, hook it up, register and leave. Plenty of ways to do it....
That's the cool thing about next gen, though.. you can play while you download. So, if you run out of space and have to delete something and decide that you want to play that something again later, you don't have to WAIT for it to download again.. you can just go ahead and play it.
I'm not expecting 10s, 9s, or even 8s for Batman: Arkham Origins. From the gameplay videos I've seen, the game looks like it isn't a major improvement from Arkham City and I think a lot of "reviewers" expecting it to be more will take points away for that reason. That doesn't make it a bad game or worst than the previous games, but some may think it feels outdated.
I'm curious, but this game isn't really even on my radar yet. I haven't seen ANY gameplay.. just a gorgeous cut-scene and pretty pictures, neither of which tell me if this game is going to be something I like or not.
CAG use to have a trade-in values page, but they either removed it or it got lost when they re-did their website.
I tried to sell a bunch of old games this past summer on my own for cheap and got NO offers. I ended up taking them to GameStop and got back maybe 70% of what I was trying to sell them for. After that, and knowing we are heading in the direction of an all-digital world anyway, I pretty much decided I was going to go mostly digital next gen.

I would have to agree with him that trade-ins help sell new games. Several years ago, I was unemployed for about 7 months and thanks to trade-ins, I didn't miss a single new release I wanted that year. Games I wouldn't have been able to afford otherwise all bought new on their release day.
I'm kinda torn between Ryse and Killzone. The girl looks great in the Killzone pic, but not so much the guy. With Ryse, I think the helmet in the second pic is throwing me off a bit, but the facial features still look really good.
We really won't know how they compare until we see them actually animated.
Never! I don't care how much my wife nags me about it.
I was on the fence about getting this, but then I watched the 17 minute gameplay footage they just released and it got me really excited for this game. It revealed a few things I didn't previously know and, graphically, the game looks to be on par with the previous games. So, I think if you were a fan of the look and feel of those games, you will enjoy Arkham Origins.
True. It's impossible to please everyone. Nothing ever gets a 100% approval rating.
I'm Bart Simpson.. who the hell are you?
You're not going to see any sales on the Xbox One, PS4 or their games and accessories this year. They are too new and demand is too high.
They won't offer it at first, because they want continued support for the PS3 and milk it for all it's worth. There are still a LOT of PS3's sitting on store shelves out there. But once support for the PS3 dies down, we'll start seeing the PS3 "classics" (which will be every PS3 title by then) on our PS4s.
Still, it's a bigger question of rather or not Sony will try to re-sell us these titles if we already owned them digitally.
I still see this happening in the future. Question is, will Sony make us buy these games all over again?
I don't know why you are getting disagrees. You are absolutely right.. and I've preached this myself. Competition is GREAT for us gamers and we should encourage it.
I was excited to try DriveClub via PS+, but I thought of it as more of a day one BONUS than a game I was willing to invest in. (I'm not really into racers.) I'm sure Sony will make up for it and offer us another PS+ "freebie" in it's place, so I'm not worried about this. Besides that, I'll be busy launch day with Killzone: Shadow Fall and Battlefield 4. Now, if those get delayed.. I might cry.
You still have to install so much data before you can "play as you download". Nobody knows how much data that is, but if the game is close to 50 GB, I'd say it could be anywhere from 5 to 10 GB, which would still take my connection 1 to 2 hours. So, it's not like you can just push the download button and start playing 20 seconds later. You might have to give it a few hours.
