LOL @ the disagrees!
As much hate as Xbox One gets, how many of you that are disagreeing are even getting the Xbox One at launch?
I got the email!
I was going to buy this Day 1, but I think I'll wait and read a few reviews before I do that now.
That's nifty!
I honestly don't care if they show nothing at all or show the biggest thing ever.. I'll be heading to GameStop when it comes on to pick up my PS4 and then it's all about Killzone: Shadow Fall, Battlefield 4, Assassin's Creed IV, Need For Speed: Rivals, Contrast and Resogun for awhile.
Up until the dolls, I was like.. MEHHH. Then I was like.. WOOHOO! /preordering
This just gives others a chance to take COD's spot at the top. We all know BF has been eyeing that top spot for some time now, but with stiff competition in Killzone and Titan Fall, this could be COD's last go at the top if they don't make some drastic changes before the next release.
I hate buying games this time of year. All the best new games come out and, like anyone would, you want them, but then you're taking the chance of them being discounted a week later, because retailers are trying to get those holiday sales. And this will especially be the case this year with current-gen on it's way out to make room for next-gen. I expect HUGE HUGE HUGE sales on current-gen games on Black Friday.
Schweeet! I'm going to Walmart a little later, so I'll definitely swing by electronics and see if they have one set up. These next few weeks are going to be intense! And after reading all these articles these last few months, I'm stoke to see one with my own eyes finally.
I don't understand why that is so hard for some people to understand.
The full game is already in the "cloud".. as well as every other game, including the ones you don't "own". It's not like if you buy a game digitally, a digital copy, reserved just for you is stored in the "cloud" ready to play the second you want to play it. You have to download it.. and even though you can play while it downloads, you still have to download a por...
I'm not too concerned with my Xbox One's HDD.. I'm going "digital" with Xbox One, but I'm only buying exclusives. So, I should be good for a few years.. after that, I can always delete and re-download the older games.
With PS4, I can just upgrade my HDD. So, no biggie.
@richierich
GameStop's leaked Black Friday ad has 1-year PS+ cards for $30. I plan on buying at least 3 of them. (They should stack.) If you're concerned about your PS+ subscription expiring, you might want to consider doing this.
No. I want something to play when I pick up my PS4 at the midnight launch. The games I get from Amazon probably won't arrive till the next day or following Monday. And the Playstation Plus freebies probably won't become available until late on the 15th when the store updates.
Why, because we enjoy all aspects of our hobby and are excited about what's new?
I already have my copy of Killzone: Shadow Fall, but I guess I'll be cancelling my copies of Battlefield 4 and Assassin's Creed IV at GameStop.. this deal is too good to pass up! Not sure what other 3rd game I'm going to pick up, though.
Make them free then.
I like the pre-order bonuses, the closeness of the store and that I can make payments on my pre-orders, instead of them just taking the money all at once.
It's "cool" to hate GameStop, but that doesn't change the fact that it's a great place to shop for video games. You always have a few fools, but most of the people that work there are at least aware of what's going on in the video game biz and have a clue what you are talking about when you ask ab...
I prefer the PS3's gamecase still. I have my copy of Killzone: Shadow Fall already and the case just looks generic to me.
As someone else pointed out, the old DVD like case the Xbox uses feel outdated.
Sadly, some fool will defend this, because it's their's to keep forever...
I'm getting the Xbox One (and PS4) in a few weeks and this is just SAD. Microsoft isn't even TRYING with that kind of pathetic offering.
I pre-ordered and I got selected.
