I downloaded BLR, but haven't checked it out yet. It was just.. THERE and I was looking to get all I could out of my PS4, so I downloaded it with really no interest in playing it. After reading this article, I'll definitely be checking it out after I finish playing Assassin's Creed IV.
Streaming services are not going to go away. With the decline in cable subscriptions, this could be a last ditch effort in saving the industry, because people will already have a device compatible with what they have to offer already in their home, as oppose to selling people on having to have a separate device altogether. Time will tell if it works or not.
This is HUGE and it's absolutely a game changer. This is the kind of innovation that separates Microsoft from Sony.
Tomb Raider on PS3 had some great graphics. If the PS4 port improves them.. that's going to be stunning.
I've been playing mine a lot since Friday and both of my controllers are fine. My only complaint is how quickly the battery drains, but I guess that big blue flashlight on the front of it will do that.
As for the wear 'n tear, I think that depends a lot on how the gamer handles the controller. Some people are pretty fierce, while others are a lot more gentle.

Call Of Duty is a lot like Xbox right now in that the internet loves to hate it. Don't buy into that; form your own opinion. I've been playing COD Ghosts while Battlefield is "broken" and I've had a lot of fun with it, but I would rather be playing Battlefield 4.
I would hold on to it until they fix it.
I have it, Call Of Duty: Ghosts and Killzone: Shadow Fall. All are great, but BF4 (when it works) is TONS better than COD and Killzone.
They say good things come to those who wait.. WAIT!
I actually went ahead and hooked everything up and turned the PS4 on and it started the download before I had the chance to put my jump drive in. No biggie, though.. it only took about 2 minutes to download.
This has happened to me a few times. The first time, I was about midway through the campaign on Hard difficulty when it crashed and told me my save was corrupted. I was BEYOND pissed! Then it happened about 3 times in multiplayer. After that, I started playing Call Of Duty: Ghosts...
and I made sure EA_DICE knew it, too!
He forgot the cost of a quality HDTV and sound system and your monthly electric and internet bills.
There goes my HDD!
Doing this now. Glad I am, too. I work nights, so right after I pick up my PS4, by the time I get it home and set up, I'm only going to have about an hour to play around with it before I have to leave. I don't want to spend that hour staring at an update screen.
I never put too much into reviews. Afterall, they are just one person's opinion and we never know what might be influencing that opinion. I mean, beyond the fanboy rage, how do we know their dog didn't die the day they wrote the review? Maybe they caught their spouse sleeping around? Us readers have no idea. Plus, there are games out there that a lot of people say are amazing, like The Walking Dead, but I'm not into that kind of game, so I would say it sucks. How am I suppos...
We're less than 15 hours away and Sony is playing with my emotions making me believe there is every bit a possibility I might be buying a lemon at midnight tonight. As if my nerves are not bad enough. Don't make me cry, Sony.
Personally, I don't see anything wrong with the PS4's launch games. It's easy to dismiss any game that doesn't represent a genre you like and since Sony is trying to cater to every genre, nobody is going to like every launch title. But do we really need 10 or 20 AAA launch titles? Who is going to have the money to get all of them? The time to play them all? So I don't consider the launch line-up as being "weak". I see it being very strong, allowing every ty...
I've watched a few broadcasts and I think it's an awesome way to check out gameplay beforehand. I can see me doing this a lot next-gen on games I'm not too sure about buying. Gotta be cautious of spoilers, though.
I look forward to broadcasting some tomorrow.
He's suppose to interview Major Nelson and from the looks of it, Microsoft is going to be hooking him up with some stuff, too.
I say, good for him. Not just for the free stuff, but for someone like him to have made himself from nothing to something in the gaming community in such a way that Sony and Microsoft are paying attention to him. I think that's awesome.
I'm jealous, but that feeling will go away in about 34 hours from now.
LOL.. We posted the exact same thing at the exact same time.
I haven't played much of the multiplayer, but I just recently finished the campaign on veteran difficulty and I enjoyed it. People complain about the series being rehashed, but it's not and never has been the kind of game I play all year. So, spending a few days playing it once a year doesn't bother me. I've played better, but I've also played worst.
I'll probably spend some more time in multiplayer and go through the campaign again on easy to pic...
