I've already got Battlefield 4, Assassin's Creed IV, Call Of Duty: Ghost and Killzone: Shadow Fall waiting to be played when I get my PS4. So, I'm good on launch games. But I wouldn't mind trying out Knack down the road. I hope they release a demo at launch.
Yea, that's a ridiculous price, especially for a game launching just 4 months after the launch of next-gen consoles. Plus, it being a new IP.
On the flip side, if Titan Fall takes off and becomes THE defining game of the next-gen of gaming, then that CE might be worth something years from now.
I'm super excited for Titan Fall, but that 16 player multiplayer is a turn off. They need to at least double that for this game to be a real contender.
And $250 for the CE is ridiculous! I'll be getting the $60 digital Xbox One version.
I'd say it's a combination of factors. 1) Just general tiredness of the brand. 2) People switching to next-gen. 4) Stiff competition from several AAA launch titles. 5) Battlefield getting more attention than ever. 6) Economy.

Much to the dismay of many PS4 hopefuls, Microsoft has already confirmed that Titan Fall isn't going multiplatform. It will stay an Xbox exclusive.. FOREVER.
Battlefield is the most likley to take the crown from Call Of Duty.

A couple of weeks ago, my mom had be buy Assassins Creed IV and WWE 2k14 for her to give as a Christmas present. So, we've been sitting on those games a couple of weeks now, unopened w/ receipt. When I saw the Target deal, I went there today and re-bought AC4 and WWE and got for free the only PS4 game they had available, Call Of Duty: Ghosts. My Target only had Call Of Duty: Ghosts for PS4 as far as "next-gen" goes. I guess they'll get a lot of the rest Tuesday, but I went ahead and bought 6 games. Target is an hour away from me, so the others I'll exchange at Walmart for something else after Tuesday.
Sony releasing games early isn't exactly the same thing. It's not like you can actually PLAY those games yet. IF all Microsoft did was impose a temporary ban on him playing online, I don't see any harm in that as long as they lift the ban on launch day. Besides, he could always just return the console to Target after the Xbox One launches and exchange it for another one, saying it's defective.
I can understand a temporary ban UNTIL launch date, but if it's a permanent ban, that would be insane. If I were him and if they don't lift the ban on Nov 22, I would take the Xbox One to the nearest Target, say it's defective and have them swap it out for another one. In the meantime, just enjoy what you can do with it.

I know it's cool to hate on Microsoft and Xbox nowadays, but this would be TERRIBLE for us gamers. Do you honestly think the PS4 or Playstation Plus would be as good as they are if it weren't for Sony's competition with Microsoft? I think the fun and entertainment factor are the most important. I'm spoiled to the best possible graphics, but it doesn't matter how amazing a game looks if it's dull and boring. It also depends on your personal taste as a gamer. Some people love Call Of Duty, while others prefer Word Search, so one person's definition of "quality" could be completely different from another person's.
If I were Activision, I would release every Call Of Duty MP map EVER, upgraded in an ultimate edition for PS4 and Xbox One. Then I would wait 2 or 3 years before releasing another Call Of Duty game with a completely new story and engine powering it.
I just platinumed this game and with PS4 and Xbox One coming out and with me still having to finish Batman: Arkham Origins, I don't think I'll be putting any more money into it. Besides, I can just download community creations of whatever characters I want.
