That's what I love about that feature. I watched a few games for awhile on Twitch before deciding they were not for me. Money saved!
It's way too early for a price cut. We still don't know how the Xbox One will be perceived by the casual gamers who won't be getting their Xbox One till Christmas, which is a great time to show off the new console in front of family. And even then, they'll wait till after a system seller like Halo is released.
That's almost tempting enough for me to not bother trying Burger King's new Big King burger.
That joke was funnier the first time I read it... in the messages section, beneath the actual article.
*BUSTED!
How long of a hold was there on people who didn't pick up their pre-orders? Because if not picked up in a set amount of time, those consoles would eventually be released to the general public and considering this is NY, I'd imagine they got more pre-orders than the average town did. So, if a lot of those New Yorkers couldn't pay off their pre-order, that could explain why so many are still available.
No, but that is a nice perk.
I'm kinda on the fence as to which console is overall better. I have both and to be honest, I've use my Xbox One every day now, because of the TV integration. And since it's always on, it's incredibly convenient to go from TV, to Netflix, to Vudu, to Hulu, to my digital copy of Dead Rising 3. I use to use my PS3 to watch all those apps, but it's just easier to use Xbox One for them now.
I have more games for my PS4 and I think the gaming is better on PS...
Both are sold out where I'm from, too. And seeing how you are posting on N4G, I would assume you are informed. Although, I think there has been a lot of bad information posted here at N4G in the last several months.
I'm actually very pro-Xbox One. Until I got it, I wasn't too sure about it, because like many, I started to believe the PS4 hype.. and I'm not knocking the PS4 by saying this. I have the PS4 and I love the PS4, but ever since I got my Xbox One,...
You lost me at Fanboy.
I don't know why so many people on this site, who may have a valid opinion, are so quick to point fingers and yell FANBOY, not even knowing who they are pointing and yelling at. Take a look at my avatar. It's my Xbox Live gamerpic that I recently made with MY Xbox One! I also have the Xbox 360 and - OMG! - a PS3 and PS4.
If I'm a fanboy.. I'm doing it wrong.
Not really. I was basically saying parents are not going to go through the trouble of learning anything about the consoles. They are just going to stick with what they already know. For example, my little girl likes Monster High dolls. I couldn't tell you much about them, but I know she likes them, so she'll get a few for Christmas.
Stock probably was a factor, but I also think you have a lot more uninformed parents out buying consoles on Black Friday who are not aware of - or care anything about - specs. All they know is their kid plays Xbox.. there is a new Xbox out.. get that one.
You also have to keep in mind that prior sales were dictated by early adopting, HARDCORE gamers, who weren't going to wait till Black Friday.
Did you see how fast the people in the 2nd video gave up and began walking?
@GUTZnPAPERCUTZ
Thank you for calling me a "fanboy". I'm going to think about that every time I play the PS4 I bought launch day 2 weeks ago... and my day one edition Xbox One I bought 1 week ago.
Why be p*ssed? The PS4 is a great console without it. Enjoy what the PS4 has to offer now and enjoy it knowing that good things are still to come.
I got to give it to Microsoft on the entertainment. I've used my Xbox One every day since getting it to watch TV and since it's incredibly convenient to switch from TV to Netflix to Vudu to Hulu and to any digital game I have (Dead Rising 3), I have been using it WAY more than my PS4.. and this is coming from a guy who used his PS3 for all that stuff before. I do still think the PS4 is the better GAMING console, but for everything else and a slightly less gaming experience, I love m...
I think people are putting WAY too much into the resolutions. I haven't played Ryse or Forza yet, but Dead Rising 3 looks amazing to me. Call Of Duty has been hammered by gamers all year, but I thought the game looked great on PS4. Maybe it's just me. Maybe I need to have my eyes checked. But I feel as if gamers are just trying to find a reason to blindly hate on what they perceive as being the "competition" when they should be supporting ALL formats, as competition bet...
I like the UI. It's a step up from the Xbox 360's, which I hated. Xbox One's is simple, a lot easier to navigate and it's easier to find the things I want to find.
I still prefer my PS4 for gaming, but since I got my Xbox One the other day, that's what I've mostly played, especially since it's always on and I have my cable running through it, so it's just more convenient to play a game on Xbox One now, than switch it over to the PS4.
Sony won't drop Twitch. It's ridiculous to even think that. What do you think moderators are there for?
Really glad this game is looking as good as it does. It's one of the reasons I wanted an Xbox One also.
