This. And I'm one of those people, because as much as I like a new Mario game, it's not enough to justify me spending $400 on when I already have a more powerful PS4 sitting at my TV. Competition is great for us consumers. But I prefer to do all my gaming on one platform, rather than rather than spend hundreds more t o have multiple devices collecting dust under my TV. So I'm all for Nintendo becoming a 3rd party developer. I know it's not going to happen, but never say nev...
I was just gifted a Switch and Mario Kart. It was hot for 2 or 3 days, but I've been playing my PS4 ever sense and my future plans for the Switch are exclusive only. Otherwise, I'm sticking with my PS4 and much more comfortable for my large hands, dual shock controllers. Nice gimmick, tho.
I credit the price increase with Sony giving us AAA games like Just Cause 3 and Until Dawn recently. Once the price settles in, the heat dies down, Sony will go back to giving us $10 to $15 PSN games. But even still, the value is there. I usually make most (if not more) of my money back on PS+ only discounts on digital sales. The free games are a bonus. I do think it would sweeten the deal if we got some cool dynamic themes free every month. I like my current theme, but I get bored.
Don't remind me. I bought it on PS3, then turned around and had to buy it again for PS4. But I can say I got my money's worth, so, oh well.
Shadow Warrior is showing up for $4.99.
Bought it Day-1. About 50 hours and 2000 matches logged since and I'm still going strong. No regrets.
I've put a 100+ hours into GTA V and have hardly touched the story or online. I just like to drive around and cause chaos. I'm still discovering new places in the game.
Remember when they said that DLC enabled developers/publishers to recover some of their losses from piracy? That might've been true 5 years ago, but now that they realize they can bring a ton more money in.. keep it coming. I'm not going to complain really. Video games have cost about $60 for as long as I can remember. It's amazing the standard price of a game hasn't at least risen to $100. The fact they can sell DLC is probably why.
Love Injustice 2. Way better than the original.
I need to get this game.
VR is red hot right now. I have non-gaming, don't even have Internet access friends interested in it even. So, it kinda appeals to the "non" crowd in the same way the Nintendo Wii did with with one big difference - PRICE. Get the price down and sales will skyrocket.
From an exclusives standpoint, I'm way more interested in Nintendo than Xbox. I don't currently have the Switch, but I love me some Mario Kart and Super Mario Odyssey looks amazing. Plus, I don't have a 4K TV yet. And I feel like the main reason to get a "mid-gen upgrade" wouldn't so much be about gameplay and faster load times, but to get the most out of the 4K TV I don't yet have. And by the time I do get 4K TV, next-gen will have arrived. (I'll wait.)...
Don't put any thought into it.
There are people on this site (and others) who get there kick out of down-voting everything.
Whatever makes them happy.
I think the trailer would have been a great way of saying that the developer was taking a new approach with the game, instead of rehashing the same game year after year with an updated roster, arenas and whatever feature they try to stick on that's usually a miss, rather than a hit. Hopefully, since the game won't be on PS3 or Xbox 360 this year, they'll be able to use more of current gen's power to enhance graphics, etc.
Doesn't Microsoft, Sony or both have a clause that makes 3rd party developers unable to make their games look or play much better on the competition's console? I know this was blamed for Sony never being able to utilize the PS3's power advantage over the Xbox 360, other than for their own exclusives like Uncharted and The Last Of Us, which were some of the best looking games of that generation. If that's still the case, as long as the Xbox One S and PS4 are still being mark...
I love this game. The entry level mission is really good, but in my opinion the weakest level in the game. So, if you like it, you should invest in the other ones, because you'll love them.
Spider-man, Red Dead Redemption 2 and maybe God Of War and Days Gone.. Spring 2018 is going to be a fun time.
Sony's presentation lacked the bells and whistles, but I admire their confidence in allowing the games to speak for them. Days Gone and Spider-man are day-one purchases for me.
And me with my 400 GB bandwidth limit. I hate my ISP.
My Walmart has had a couple in Stock for months.
