I don't think anyone is supposed to take this seriously. Everything said and shown in that trailer is utterly stupid and silly.
The world is always "turning to crap", just in a cycle that everyone is evidently oblivious to. There's always really bad things happening like injustice, crime, bitterness and cynicism over politics, scapegoat memes, and the big economic slump every few decades. It's normal and we survive in a shifting world. In itself, that's not a valid reason to turn away from it.
I play RPG's because I enjoy them and find them interesting and rewarding games. Be...
It's just the mythos that's connected. If Lightning does show up in any form it'll be a hidden cameo or something.
Graphically and aesthetically the game is very different from previous games. Sometimes the move to 3D even affects gameplay like back-angle environments, mirror reflections, and most of the gym structures.
Mechnically, it is noticably different. The pacing has been sped up considerably, the addition of skates and mounts, the addition of a new type and a new kind of evolution, an entirely new persistent online networking system that works much better, a more appraoachable and...
It's a brand thing, really. Ellen Page and her associates are going to concerned about the brand of her likeness first and foremost.
I thought the controls were one of the new things that worked out, honestly. I never found Zelda's combat as interesting as it became with these new motion controls and the puzzles surrounding the new movements were new and fresh for the franchise. I also liked the Stamina mechanic and faster climbing, though there's still more improvements to be made. The item upgrades were also good ways to keep old items fresh and useful.
The bird travel, the backtrack-centric desi...
Sensationalist and misleading title, really. His points are reasoned enough, but suggesting that a few poorer-than-average installments in the past few years makes 25 years of rich history of unique and compelling content "overrated' is ridiculous. When people praise the Zelda franchise, they are referring to it in totality.
Funny thing is, that's not actually his point and he's actually talking about overhyping given a possible trend of these poorer installm...
So are the other reveiews not being honest with their opinions? Any evidence to back that claim up?
Or is honesty a question of being more critical or agreeing with your tastes with these types of games? Because that's wrong.
*Looks at Other M*
No, I'm good.
Beyond's biggest issue with its story and writing is that it's hard to feel like it's building up to anything.
I may as well be watching "The Miscellaneous Life and Times of Jodie: More Action and Drama Scenes". Sometimes it'll be about the ghost, being homeless, getting chased by cops, a love interest, or being assaulted by random guys. It's hard to tell what you should be caring about when its jumping all over the place, touching on a lot of su...
The thing with B2S is that we actually do have things to compare it to, like TellTale's Walking Dead and recent Wolf Among Us for example. When you get down to it they very similar at the basics.
Compared to them, B2S feels limited in the interactivity and options it provides. The most in the way of options is how the game lets screw around with Aiden while you wait for the next scripted scene to interrupt Jodie, but that's nothing meaningful. If the player doesn'...
That's like saying "An action film can't have an engaging storyline." It's this kind of jaded and internalized bias among all these mediums, ignoring the fundamental differecnces among them, that keep fair and realistic standards from setting.
The thing is, excellent efforts in both videogame and hollywood acting and writing are seldom. They're both chock-full of poorness and mediocrity before anything else. It is clearly worse overall, but the indus...
The camera is a bit wobbly or finnicky, depending on what transporation you're using but works well enough for a town area. The real problem is the symmetry and how the landmarks are almost indistinguishable from one another.
Or X2 and Y2. Or Z will be a convergent sequel to both.
Hey, they surprised us last time with B2 and W2.
WhatCulture article = Instant loss of interest.
Looks good graphically, but that gameplay is barely running. You can tell they haven't even implemented many animation assets yet.
Still, the gameplay is not meant to be the focal point here. The game does look stunning.
Who expected otherwise? Mainline handheld Pokemon games always sells like crazy and now it has full 3D-polygon visuals. It's going to perform very well.
I don't think I'll be using this Bravely Second feature. Stop time and do crazy amounts do extra damage? That sounds way too overpowered.
Exactly. Why do Kickstarter if you're going to use a publisher?
I hope this is just one big misquote or mistranslation, as I haven't seen the GI it is in. Inafune would lose all support and respect from fans if he went back to Capcom for MN9.
Even as a Zelda fan I wasn't too interested in this to begin with, but it keeps looking better and better. Every new thing we learn further distinguishes it from A Link to the Past, while keeping everything from it that made that classic special (like the open world from the get-go, expansive and less linear dungeons).
