Because Rosalina is pretty much the face of Mario's Wii era and evidently has interesting new playstyle possibilities to offer Smash Bros. with her Galaxy-inspired moveset.
Even so, the Wii U will benefit from more advertising period. I honestly can't remember the last time I saw a Wii U commercial before this holiday season.
The Wii U has its little corner in stores and a few demo stations, but there has been just a lack of awareness and attention toward it.

The thing with the tablets and smartphones is that they aren't integrated into the systems' fundamentals, so they will even more inevitably be underutilized. Plus tablet and smartphone devices lack physical buttons, only being peripheral to the standard controllers, so it would be clunky to juggle the extra functions the way the Gamepad's design can.
Vita's Remote Play is a far cry away from the off-TV play of the Gamepad. Vita is...
3DS had an awful first year, yet is easily the one of the most profitable consoles out on the market right now. And with the price drop and 2014 looking like a solid year for releases so far, it's stupid to write the Wii U off just yet.
Bayonetta 2, Donkey Kong, Smash Bros. 4, Hyrule Warrios, X, Yoshi's Yarn, Mario Kart 8, and SMTXFE are all slated to come out next year. On top of multi-plats like Child of Light, Mighty No. 9, and several other Kickstarter projects ba...
Looks like an interesting character. That Luma is going to have a bunch of positioning tricks to it and there's a lot of potential for crowd-control. She can even bring surrounding items to her.

An Adventure PaC game like TWD is hardly comparable to CoD where issues of repetition are concerned.
"What else can you do with a point and click game?"
That's like saying "Where else can you go with a TV show?"
The obvious answer is to make more enjoyable characters and exciting events/developments in the story. It all comes down to the story.
Art isn't a standard. Any kind of creative effort can be considered art.
Super Meat Boy was amazing. Frustrating, but very fun at the same time.
The other two I agree with, though. LBP is a great creative design tool, but that doesn't change that the basic controls and physics of the game are poor which is very bad for a platformer. RDR just drags itself out way too much, suffering from the long treks to mission objectives every single time and stiff controls.
Relatively speaking, it is not a "safe" entry in the series. On top of using an old overworld which in itself is susceptible to critics, they introduce a major new design element that significantly impacts the basic overall game progression.
They introduce a wall-walking which is definitely a big new feature. And they have obviously taken a new approach with a few of the standard designs of Zelda games, including pacing and items. It is taking risks, no doubt.
Well, I sure hope he's pleased with himself... :/
You'd think after those Ubisoft Conferences the gaming industry would ditch him completely for these events. He's clearly not interested in the subject and he comes off as very forced.
I certainly hope "World Primiere" wasn't Nintendo's choice of words.
I'd have to hear a lot more before I'd even consider getting this. The original version was certainly a very fun game and I liked it enough to fully explore and 100% it, but there'd have to be extensive new content and improvements to warrant another purchase.
Could be a good deal for people who haven't played it before, though.
How much of the same people is RARE since Microsoft acquired them?
They were chugging out hit after hit with Nintendo, now they can't make a decent game that doesn't invovle animals stuffed with candy. What happened?
Umm... what in the world does his posture in a picture have to do with this?
I have to say, it feels like this Wii U business has been going on longer than a year.
The thing is, people this set in the idea that Zelda is always the same thing aren't going to be satisfied by anything less than a full renovation of all tried and true mechanics and designs.
Was A Link to the Past not a major evolution of what the original LoZ was? Was Ocarina of Time not a game-changer for the series about 12 years in? Did Majora's Mask not do something new (and still remains unique to this day) with the doomsday clock and NPC-schedule cycle mechani...
I have to ask, what is "something more" for this kind of game? ALBW's has:
- A new story that hits different beats than ALTTP.
- All-new dungeons and challenges.
- Only about half of the bosses are returning and even those fights are very different than before.
- The painting mechanic.
- Item renting.
- Upgrade feature for every item.
- An open structure, moreso than ALTTP.
- Deliberate subversions on ALTTP...
Something tells me they're doing this to get extra experience with next-gen consoles for the sake of the actual sequel. And also make a few bucks along the way.
