You can turn off the XP sharing feature. But it cuts down on a ton of the grinding which is a win in my book.

I played through the whole thing; it was pretty funny. The heavy-handed preaching almost felt like satire. I would have assumed it was making fun of PETA if I didn't know it was from them beforehand and that in itself pretty much tells you how ridiculous their attitude is.

I get that Pokemon is pretty much just kid-friendly dog fighting when you get down to it, but at the end of the day it's fiction. It should be the job of parents to make their kid realize that real ...

You can't fight Rule 34. You just can't. If there's a popular female character, she's going to be in a lot of porn fanart.

Heavy Rain was pretty much "Your Milage May Vary" incarnated. How much you enjoyed it depends on if you like strictly directed, cinematic QTE games with a strange multi-character narrative and a value on choice. Then there was also the several inconsistencies, and how those affect your exerience depends on your ability to recognize and/or overlook them. And the voice acting and facial mo-capping were pretty iffy overall.

Beyond: Two Souls probably addresses almost i...

ME2 is my favorite as a standalone game, though it didn't do any favors for the overall trilogy.

But for the story arc of the trilogy, ME1 is definitely the best.

The Reapers are not a 'fundamental' flaw in Mass Effect. There's plenty of cool things you can do with an antagonist like this, their anonymity and relentlessness.

Many successful Sci-Fi stories involve unempathetic enemies, and in those stories it's about what the enemy represents, philisophical intrigue of why they do what they do, and the theories and metaphors they can be attributed to. Of course the writer here is implying they could never be written to b...

You'd think after 5+ games they'd have found a solid combat system.

I doubt anything happened particuarly between them. Microsoft has been irking everyone for a while.

SuperGiant is most likely just debuting on the console they think will have the best initial install base.

You can only really sympathize with these characters if you gloss over how they're mass-murdering thieves who torture innocent people and kill cops for the sake of money.

That isn't to say they aren't entertaining, though. I just find it odd when I'm supposed to feel bad for these characters, because they deserve everything bad they get.

I see no reason to be concerned, mush less offended about this unless you actually are a cheater or an obnoxious brat.

"it’s a little bit concerning to see Microsoft call some of their paying customers “Jerks”."

Except it's true. Some of their paying customers are idiot jerks who take away from or outright ruin online matches and should be reported.

Remake

I have to repeat these to myself everyday at this point.

Controllers often don't work well with big inventories and menus, which Dragon Age involves.

I think this is one of the cases where voice commands help significantly and save time.

It's gonna be weird if this prompts Capcom to successfully bring back Megaman, and then it and MN9 become bitter rivals. Doubt it will happen, but it would be funny.

I did really like Gravity Rush. It was a great idea that was well done. But there was a lot that bogged the game down from being truly excellent. It did one thing truly well, but other parts of the design were lacking resulting in a good, but far from flawless experience. It did not get "rave" reviews, either.

Uncharted GA was significantly shorter and more poorly designed and paced. I think less of AC: Liberation than AC3, which is saying a lot. Killzone is good, but very stripped down in all respects compared to the PS3 installments. Resistance was just... awful. Most of these struggle to keep even 30FPS up, being close to 20 when the action ramps it up.

Gravity Rush is a new idea and uses it well, but the game is filled with a lot of repetitive slogs like combat. I'm really ...

Sony made a good handheld system with the Vita, but they've done awful at getting support for it. There's very little original, quality software from significant developers for Vita outside of JRPGs. Uncharted (which was outsourced) and Killzone and AC and such all had their Vita installments feel really stripped down and inferior to their console counterparts. Short campaigns, very reduced MP options, ect. It's a reminder that the Vita isn't a console system and if it attempt...

The big issue I have with MP laziness these days is the gradual outsting/gimping of local co-op. I didn't cry against Scott Pilgrim or Raymanm for lacking online, and I'm not going to here. I have friends I like to be present with me when we play together.

It's very insincere to assume that the same people who cry against lack of online co-op are the same who excuse or tolerate Nintendo's practice of it. It's easy to throw accusations when you just say it&...

"IMO, I also feel that Eternal Darkness seems a bit out of date when compared with today's standards. I mean, people can go back and play REmake and still enjoy the game as it is, but Eternal Darkness just hasn't aged well in terms of story and gameplay mechanics."

What exactly is your point in saying this? And comparing it to a remake? Isn't Eternal Darkness being mechanically dated even more of an incentive to make a modern version?
