Bethesda usually takes about 3 years between games, so Fallout 4 would be on track for a release this year if we're going by history.
However, since they're going to be transitioning to next-gen, it could take a bit longer.
Apparently Space Occupier is a job in the gaming industry now?
Sequelization is kind of a matter of appropriateness, if you ask me.
Some franchises are meant to be open for many sequels, spin-offs, and sub-series like Mario and its many niches, as the writer mentions.
Others are not so much and further installments end up feeling like an excuse once the intended run has ended or the novelty has been worn out with too little in the way of fresh ideas and concepts. This especially applies to games with significant storylin...
Absolutely pathetic article. Click-bait title and opening, arrogant premise and writer, glib and overly subjective points, reliance on vague non-gaming references for comparisons, taking the argument to 2-month old consoles and away from games, general histrionics and in his opinions and being rhetorical toward the reader, Ect. Awful writing.
I almost suspect this is a joke, but it doesn't quite look like it. It's fine not liking these games, but this writer is being ...
Why are we even posting every little comment he makes? Can we get a legitimate industry analyst, at least? Instead of this opinionated, consumer-ignorant hack that GameTrailers passes as one?
I think we can create our own opinions on games we enjoy more than others, thanks Mr. Analyst. :/
I'm kind of getting sick of this of these incessant blame game opinion articles. I think we all get the point.
At what point are we just going to accept this as the norm and not post dozens of articles about one particular game looking better on the superior hardware? This is likely how it's going to be this entire generation. We have several other examples like this and it's not surprising anymore.
I really liked the hub-based design of the areas in Tomb Raider. It was one of the distinguishing aspects of the game. I hope they keep pushing that forward.
The Galaxy games had incredible OSTs. The best of any Mario game, in my opinion.
The sad thing is that everything is there besides the system-selling library of exclusives. It's like a great car with no gas in it.
Yeah, this type of game definitely goes well as a handheld title.
Vita's biggest strength right now is the classic backlog and indie titles. I'm definitely going to downplay that there's a lot to like in those libraries and I'm speaking from experience, but they're just not enough to support a system and most of those games are available on several other platforms (albeit not necessarily in portable form).
Sony needs to pump out the system sellers and start a new marketing campaign to coincide. It needs more big-name pro...
Right, I remember that. Granted, it wasn't just feminists. There was also a big religious aspect to that controversy as well. Some didn't take kindly to the fetish nun outfits and there was some nonsense about "Convert or Kill" and the promotion of violence by and against religious persons. On top of the women thing, it all rolled up together to make it the controversy that it was.
Did we ever figure out what they changed? I did play through it, and the game...
"Complain enough and make developers feel bad enough so they end up censoring themselves to make social justice warriors feel better about themselves."
Examples and evidence? There was that God of War trophy thing, but anything siginificant? They didn't change Tomb Raider. Or Senran Kagura. Or Bayonetta. Or MGSV.
As much as these people exercise their right to be stupid, developers exercise their right not to listen to them. That's how the w...
I'm pretty sure Tomb Raider: Anniversary already happened. It would be redundant to remake it again.
Good. It deserves to be successful.
It's not exactly what I wanted out of a Tomb Raider game, but they can further flesh out the puzzles and give them more limelight in the next game. As its own thing, the game was still very fun.
We need a new Advance Wars from Intelligent Systems.
I'm sure relatively few people know about as compared to the icon franchises, but it's a fantastic Strategy series and one of Nintendo's best franchises in my opinion.
Very informative. I actually had no idea how Nintendo's internal development was structured before this.
Hmm... have you tried contacting Kickstarter themselves about the issue? I'd like to think they'd force the matter for your refund if you explain your grievance.
