KZ3 runs at 720P. There is no difference on a 720P or a 1080P TV....
Also, EVERY game has pop-in. The technical term is LOD (level of detail). The degree of LOD used determines WHEN things "pop" in or out.
Example:
When within 5 feet of a player model, you seen the highest quality model, between 5 and 30 feet, you see a slightly less detailed model (lower poly count, less texture resolution), between 30 a...
Fanboys, either side. That's why. With fanboys people submit articles that are going to get hits (even if the article is wrong or lying or stupid) because they know all the fanboys will be all over it.
So if something looks better than God of War 3, does that mean you will change your username?
@hassi94
In real life I can turn around extremely fast. Most game with an analog controller spin 180 slower than a human can unless you bumped up the sensitivity to the MAX, even on a high sensitivity is still slower than real life.
Have you even tried standing up and seeing how fast you turn around? Even heard a loud sound that scared you and you turn around super quick? It takes just as long in a video game to turn around and spot some guy with your own eye...
Are you kidding me? The clip is from a level we haven't seen on xbox and its video. Who knows which looks better for now, I see no difference, especially since we don't have same for same level comparisons. I can see they both are using Temporal AA from the video though. Hell, even when the PS3 Demo/beta comes out, we don't know if that build will be old or really close to retail code, just like the 360 beta MP.
Everyone should save their comparison opinion till y...
@Redempteur
9GB is not alot. GTA4 on PC was 15GB of game data. And all cutscenes are in-engine, not video.
Imagine how many MP maps you could have if you just took 10GB away from the 33GB of video. We are talking 15-30 maps depending on the size of the maps and shared texture/geometry in the levels. THAT is real content.
Also, I don't think most PS3 gamers know that GOW3, UC2 and so on use video for nearly all cutscenes. They think it...
Lol that's my Lian-Li PC Case.
OT - While it is true that social (typically free to play) and mobile (many free to play w/ads and very small price tags) gaming has been increasing while "hardcore" gaming has slowed down and even gone backwards somewhat, I believe it comes down to two factors:
-Bad economic times leads hardcore audience with less money to buy the games they want.
-People are getting more and more into computers, ...
LOL how did I get a disagree? It has already been stated that this is the MP player count for the systems.
Only on N4G....
There is Horde mode. Even "Beast" mode where you are the horde.
DOUBLE POST
That doesn't make sense, you sacrifice more image quality, A LOT, when you go split screen. When you do coop online, each persons PS3 does the rendering for the TV it is connected to. The only information that is exchanged is netcode. Netcode is player positions and whether they are shooting or walking and so on, enemy positions and same data as players, projectile location and direction and speed, if physics is synced (which is not kept in sync if the physics is non-interactive, meaning ...
It is almost 33GB of video. Not textures (video is basically an animated texture if you will, not the best term to use though), not sound files (just 1 sound file, the audio track), no AI code, no physics, nothing.
Its just HD video, an animated image and a sound track. It is all pre-rendering and cannot be used for the game. The game data is the 9GB. The reason it is a lot of space (the 32GBs) is because to encode the video with very little compression, so you stop compressi...
9GB was the game.
41.5GB is the actual disc space used. After the 9GB of actual game data, the rest of the space was cutscene videos.

Pressure triggers are pointless for shooters, it delays your shot while a button is instant (triggers are good for racing titles, for controlling different levels of gas and brakes).
There are force feedback mice (not sure about keyboards). They just aren't popular.
I have seen analog half-keyboard products, but besides games where you need to sneak and so on, for fast paced shooters, analog movement is not a big deal. (I play with my 360 controller on my...
@gillri
Consoles get 24 players, PC gets 64.
I liked the SP alot actually. The characters in your squad are great. Listening to their conversations is funny and sometimes was even somewhat deep.

It was slowed down....Do you know how video and frames-per-second works?
It's true what CoLD FiRE stated,
"In 2D mode, Killzone 3 processes alpha effects (particles, smoke and the like) using a lower resolution buffer: 640x360 specifically"
http://www.eurogamer.net/ar...
KZ2/3's special effects are, ironically, actually very blurry and low resolution. 640x360?
1280x720 (720P)=921,600 ...
This game and other on PC is worth it, multiplat games will be running twice as fast as consoles and you will be running in 1080P with better graphics.
What are your specs if you don't mind my asking?
@BattleAxe
There are TV's as new as 2009, such as Panasonic Plasmas, that are 720P and have superior contrast ratio to nearly all TVs save for high end LED's and plasams. Not to mention plasmas have no motion blur (phosphor blur on older, lower end models) and also are viewing angle independent so you will have much better color accuracy no matter where you sit. This is still something that top LED TVs of today can't reflect. Also, refresh does absolutley nothing ...
