JU, my point is it's not based on cell. As you put it, it's based on some of the same ideas that the cell was, which is completely different.

Larrabee is just not going to be released to the consumer market since as far as gaming goes, it didn't reach the milestones they set for performance in a timely matter. It's still going to be offered for business solutions and research.

Will you fanboys shut up for once? Larrabee is based on Pentium MMX architecture, that's from the 90's dude.

And think about, a CPU company that tries to make a GPU ends up with a GPU with CPU features...no shit. Why wouldn't they use their CPU expertise in making a GPU? I assure you it has nothing to do with Intel copying the cell, or more accurately said, IBM.

I played the game...about half way through the campaign. The last time I felt such laggy controls was years back when I had a subpar video card trying to run Far Cry 1 on max settings.

A few ms? try on average 50-180% more latency than what 30FPS latency should have (100ms vs KZ2's 150-183ms). KZ2 isn't the only one, it's another reason why GTA4 is so annoying to shoot in, it has horrible latency as well while games like UC1 and Gears feel so much better. I would ...

You are fools. The "weight" is lag time. That's why even shooting the gun lags. You can't tell me a trigger is heavy, not to mention it would be dumb if a developer implement a delay of the trigger to simulate the time it takes the pull, it's already simulated, with your finger on your controllers trigger!

@Lich120

Thanks for reading it. It's good to know some people form opinion of games/consoles based on facts and research. Not this fanboy phenomenon. Yes I know it happens in other subjects, PC/Mac, Dem/Repub, AMD/Intel, ATi/Nvidia, etc. Still annoying though.

Dude, you have no idea how Live or PSN works. Any games that don't use dedicated servers (Street fighter IV, HAWX) are solely laggy depending on the host Xbox/PS3 user's internet connection since they are the server.

Almost no game uses peer to peer. Peer to Peer has everyone as "host" and slows the game down for everyone to keep everyone in sync. Server/client is how almost every game runs. A dedicated server is simply a machine that DOES NOT use the xbox/ps3/PC resour...

/s means sarcasm.

I was making fun of people who think the amount of data a disc can hold affects graphics. I've been building my PC since I was 12 and I have an 360 and I am frequently at my friend's house stealing PS3 time because nothing has really pulled me over, not to mention my friends PS3 is costing me...free.

I just think fanboys are ignorant and hilarious.

@OP. 1 and 3 are the same issue. The lag makes you think there is momentum. There isn't, it's just the lag.

I'm sorry but this is like a classic "It's not a bug, it's a feature!". There is NO WEIGHT for the guns. None. I can't believe how wide spread this is. Some fanboy or group of fanboys start spreading this "fact" of weight yet their own theory doesn't hold up. Why is it when I pull out the m4 revolver does it have the same "weight" as the light machine gun? Read on, including the articles. Don't take the fanboy way out and click disagree and run, sure it's N4G, bu...

Alot of people say this. It's "cartoony". What is cartoony? Is it just the much wider and brighter color palette? The fact that there are players in "space suits"?

Don't get me wrong, I like gritty and so on like gears, kz, etc. But really, I never got what was cartoony. Halo 3 always bugged me because the animation/player movement wasn't cartoony enough!

COD, UC2, gears and more have player movement turn on a dime or you get the back and forth qu...

I'm not worried about the balance at all. Halo has been one of the most balanced games of all time (in part due to no real class/loadout system). I played Halo 1 the most by far and love it the most. Halo 2's MP was pretty good, though it took them a while to get is balanced (plasma rifle+smg duel wield was incredibly overpowered in the beginning)

But like halo 3, it has issues to me like the all-too-useful battle rifle. Halo 3 also had the lame assault rifle, lame pistol, 2 extr...

Actually there is no bullet drop. He was referring to bullet (err plasma travel) that the plasma weapons have since they aren't instantaneous like the human weapons (yes the human weapons aka bullet-based should have travel too). This has been there since Halo 1.

My guess is this ghost crosshair is there to balance the fact that the spartan team wont really need to ever give a lead (unless using the pro pipe or picking up alien weapons) and the elite team is forced to have to lea...

Seriously, you don't know what you are talking about. Crysis 1 came out on ONE DVD.

All of that ground is actually 2D. Diffuse texture map, specular map, normal map, parallax occlusion map and possibly other texture map types that I don't know, one DVD.

That should be a hint that disc space has nothing to do with screen/frame b...

One hit kills from behind has been there since Halo 1. Even Counter Strike has it.

There are a few I thought were odd, like increasing the damage of the AN-94 at long range, that is one of the strongest assault rifles already.

Maybe it's because I use it (though I use the M1911 and I think the reduction in rate of fire is fair) but the reduction of the vehicle perk benefit for reduced reload times I thought wasn't needed. It barely increases how fast a tank shoots it's cannon. I like using it with my tanks or UAV's to take out walls of buildings fast to crush M...

There isn't "loss of detail" in the sense of rendering. LOT never seems to do a brightness/gamma balance check and THEN doing a contrast evaluation. You can simply turn up the brightness/gamma to solve the 360's version of dark areas being black instead of gray detail. Having higher contrast literally means more detail since there are more gradients. Go take some classes in digital photography or cinematography or wiki the term.

As for me "glossing" over, I am...

You seriously can't see the use of QAA on the PS3 version? It's much blurrier. Not only that, the article clearly states the PS3 lacks motion blur. Motion blur is one of the big reasons KZ2, UC2 and GOW3 look great. Looks like the only person with goggles is you.

I can't believe how retarded people are on N4G. Yes there are fanboys on both sides but this site is obviously pro-PS3, no doubt. Thats why you have articles about MS Word Legal dispute loss on a GAMING site. In no way connected to gaming, it's just something negative about MS.

But back to N4G's stupidity level of the users, the stats of games and dedicated servers are hosted by the DEVELOPER/PUBLISHER. Does any of the COD games have dedicated servers on PSN? Nope, does PSN have ...

Tomb Raider Underworld: For some reason the PC version has no object motion blur while the console does. Which is shocking since object motion blur is so damn nice looking. I think even DoF is missing in the PC version, which is odd. Underworld, I believe, is an updated version of the Tomb Raider Legend engine and the PC version of Legend had DoF...

Anyways, there is another one, sorta. Of course PC version will always have higher resolution, AA and AF options. But I think we are...
