When people say "water tessellation" that is different this the "tessellation" being discussed here which is HARDWARE tessellation.
PS3 can do tessellation as well (creating and destroying of polygons), however, it would have to be done through software and that is MUCH slower. Hardware tessellation, which the xbox GPU does support, is much faster.

It's true. No dev ever uses it, from what I understand, since this is a feature that hasn't been made standard till DX11. Ati actually has hardware tessellation since Quake 3 I believe. They used to show it as a feature of their cards and ID, maker of Rage/Quake/Doom, actually supported it in Quake 3 (or was it 2?). They called it TruForm at the time as a marketing term.

the powers like cloak, armor, nano vision, and such are just added abilities above a normal soldier and you always have them.

That's what I am doing.
I bought it. It's a great game. I just think it is overhyped, especially the graphics. The game looks amazing but there are still ugly things like no HDR and super low texture res at times, shadows can look real blocky sometimes too.
And I don't like the way the MP changed from KZ2. The one hit melee is "CODish". I dont mind games being like COD as far as controls and pace and what not (just not COD bugs and unbalanced gameplay, lol).

Resolution always makes a game better. The issue is if its better to have 720P and have a better world and better effects than 1080P and less detail and less effects. I think we both agree 720P with better effects and world is better. Balance is key.

Depends on the wall. Brick stops nearly all bullets from firearms. Wooden walls totally depends on the thickness, type of wood, condition of wood, and the fire arm shooting the wood. Dry wall does almost nothing besides BARELY changing the bullets direction, BARELY.
Long story short, walls/cover are not created equally.
The PC you just described (Though Core 2 came out AS A DUO and LATER made a single core for low end market, you have it backwards) is what can run Crysis 1 in DX9 on high settings at 720P.
It was running Crysis 1 in DX10 in VERY high settings at 1080P that was very difficult. Many uninformed people don't understand this. I still think the PC would win graphically/complexity. As far as art style preference, thats ALWAYS subjective.

The cell can do some graphical work that the RSX/GPU is supposed to do. The Cell is a sort of CPU/GPU hybrid.
Anything non graphical, the Cell will be DESTROYED by an i7 or i5 or even an i3. The thing is, PC doesn't need the CPU to make up for a weak GPU (RSX). PC has GPUs that can do what the cell does MUCH MUCH faster.

You are assuming that videos that compare PC to PS3 are fair. These videos are dumb.
I could easily say these videos are posted by PS3 fanboys on N4G (which is pro PS3) just to give the games more credit graphically. Anyone can make a comparison video.
Just because there is a comparison doesn't mean it is vaild. These aren't.
Bottom line is these videos are posted because it gets hits because people argue over it.
