I disagree. I think Microsoft still has some differentiation in terms of it's product.
If they came out tomorrow with a $399 SKU and matched all Sony's Spec's while forgetting about TV & Ancillary support I would agree... but they have too much still moving in another direction for me to consider it a wash.
The weight is one of the primary reasons I prefer an XB controller vs. a Dual Shock. I feel like I have something in my hands.
The only issue I have had with the controllers is a shortening life on battery packs, with 8 years or so of use it makes sense, and My 2nd controller which is rarely used has a sticky Y button. A little bit of rubbing alcohol clears that up and a new battery pack sets it straight.
Construction wise the only gripe I have is 1 that agre...
I disagree.
I don't think the general public is as tuned into the whole saga related to either console, and any severe down-votes would likely be the result of a boycott organized by a gamer forum.
I am not saying that MS hasn't alienated consumers, but I believe aside from educated hardcore gamers you won't have a substantial following that would care either way to down-vote the sites.
I think it would be good to have a new set of playable characters and storyline trajectories.
I believe it should be a sequel and it would need to make some assumptions as to your choices from the decisions from the 1st trilogy. It would be incredibly difficult to further the universe without picking a plot line to run with.
I think the game play was terrific with choices and actions that altered outcomes, the writers did a fantastic job in my opinion. I enjoyed the ending, I liked it enough to play through to see the others and got hooked to the ME3 multiplayer along the way.
I am excited to see what they produce.
I agree with you, just not the way the author illustrated his point.
What a whiny article.
Brian Barrett, you bought a computer. The vast majority of 'IT'S' usefulness is behind a paywall associated with software licenses (Microsoft Office) (Adobe Suite) and a ISP such as Verizon's monthly bill. You purchased a mouse to navigate the GUI and a keyboard for input. Qualify your complaint with a valid argument.
For what other purpose would somebody record game footage, if not to put it online?
This move makes sense.
This is a gamer website, don't fool yourself thinking you are helping anybody by bringing PS4 and XB1 head-to-head in every article.
The people on this website are "informed?" already, and don't need trolls to monitor every new article for opportunities to "humorously?" provide a quip for every pro Microsoft post.
They left money on the table pricing that far below the competition with hardcore gamers. More casuals will consume systems based on the pricepoint.
Why wouldn't you be connected to the internet? To post on this site you are to begin with and the device will have wifi capability out of the box, or the means to wire it directly.
I really wish the need for online connectivity remained on this console.
Quit living like cavemen, we are in an inter connected world. Pay your ISP, and get connected... the trick to infinite happiness.
**whiny voice*
But they want to see who has more power to validate which is the better purchasing decision!!!
lol, soo much convoluted junk to keep track of. I'm gonna stick with my Xbox 360 for another year and see how this conversation plays out until then.
Why would anybody fork over soo much money for apple garbage -.-
Hope is a necessity, especially given my pre-disposition not to like Sony, based on my preference of "because".
Sony is not doing everything better. I want a media hub in my living room, XB1 will do that for me. To what extent exactly, I'm not sure. But I know I watch as much TV with my Wife as I do play video games alone, it's an investment for my living room and home. Sony is only good for games, the vast majority of exclusives which I have no interest. ...

You are correct that there is a learning curve, but I would disagree with many of your points because they are strategy based.
From a control aspect, it's very standard... however when you implement vehicles you encounter some relatively complicated controls.
It's not hard to get a Jet into the air, or a Helicopter to hover... but it is difficult to dog fight another jet or to pilot the helicopter into a firefight between buildin...
Uh... If I knew that the game included a Hot Model, I would make sure I ate a good meal before she got back to my house.
I would also be sure to kill any and all AC in my home, to make the whole wearing clothes problem easier to solve.
Ugh, Phil Simms... how I loathe you.
I suggest that anybody with XB Live who is interested in this game go download the arcade trial of State of Decay. Similar feel, although faster paced, and engrossing. Should provide yiu with some of your Zed fix.
I think MS needs to maintain their identity without differing to the standard Sony implements.
I don't think that the Hard Drive will be as big a factor this next generation as it has this generation. With cloud saves I think a lot of game data can be imported, saving console real estate and the necessity for more space locally.
Aside from that $200 for 150GB of data is outrageously steep in terms of physical cost.
I think MS needs to be ...
