I spent a few hours talking one day to a retired military officer. He was an actual "military commander" he wore headsets that were tapped directly into both Army & Airforce.
After contact with the enemy he was the one who debriefed those involved. Ranging from gun fire exchanges and reconnaissance missions to bomb defusing and cleanup.
He said the 1 type of guy that was the most intense and intimidating, were the snipers. They are trained to b...
Sony probably pushed them to announce it as a 13 launch release to bolster presales before they admitted a delay. I would imagine the same thing across the boards for next-gen.
Wait a year, get a 2nd edition with some kinks worked out at a better price tag with a larger game collection to tap into.
Looked at all the pictures...
The difference between them is far less than I would have anticipated.
You are right, i don't need to watch them. But I do appreciate unique gameplay captures and great commentary that can be funny and if we have more uploads the likely hood of me finding great stuff is reduced...
But I suppose it's the same argument as hating taxes so I want to make less money. You are right, I just had a thought and ran with it.
This share button will totally inundate us with 10 more shitty video's of people who think that what they have "done" "found" or "glitched" is in any way unique or impressive to every 1 video of truly interesting game play or commentary.
Drop the share button and do the gaming community a favor. It's one barrier to entry I don't mind existing.
this article is misleading. He spouts PR theory and gemeranx mislabled for attention. No different from what Microsoft or even Nintendo believe for that matter.
I'm going to post my opinion on Sony, skip and read on if you don't care.
I don't like them, I don't care if you don't agree.
Watch it again, it gets better!
He got a well said because it's a justifiable question.
The hardware for the Kinect is housed in the Kinect. It does not require the CPU or the GPU within the XB1 to gather and process the information from it's sensors or camera.
What has Sony set aside for the PS Eye to work? Any ide?
I thought most the computational requirements needed for the Kinect were housed within the unit itself.
I imagine the 10% they have partitioned is a conservative value that just determines how the kinect inputs directly to the console, not how it runs.
A similar time lapse occurred between Half Life 1 & Half Life 2 correct?
It makes sense to wait this long. Give the industry & tech time to distance itself from the previous iteration so when they rebuild the Engine it has the evolution that gamers want to see.
They release other products on the same engine, I think? (counter strike, portal, team fortress), and it would looks right to me that they would play out the product life cycle like they had. ...
I believe that the best innovations with the technology will come from indie developers. Too many business dev's want to roll with what they know works, and won't commit to a gamble.
Indie's will be the success of gamers for this generation.
I would assume a large part of it is a direct result of poorly written and misinformed reporting... just a guess.
.60 teraflops?
I am not an Architecture Guru. The games I have seen I am happy with, that is all I care about.
Kinect... so the device that wont be supported worldwide at launch is a point of contention, both Sony and MS are not launching to every market and Sony hasnt made a move to support the ancillary 'Eye' with every unit. As far as I am concerned Ms is putting it in consumers hands. I finf that more admirable, force gamers into the
future....
What doesn't work about the XB1?
@ Einhert
Does it look Next Gen, does it feel next Gen...?
It does to me.
How about, GTFO Troll!
To anybody that might complain about 30 FPS, watch gameplay and tell me it doesn't look smooth enough.
Let how a game looks & runs be the barometer for how it looks... and runs. Not some FPS or 720 vs 1080 statistic.
I suggest:
Never use quick match.
Set up filters for your region & preferred game mode.
Create a reliable list of "favorite" servers.
You will waste way too much time jumping from game to game using quick match and finding yourself in game modes that you might not like. I play almost exclusively rush, and I hate when i get dropped into a Conquest or Team Death Match.
Shocking isn't the word for how I look at it. When I was younger I thought it was great to watch people spray paint funny and unpredictable things
But as an adult, I don't want to be subjected to it in a series that I thoroughly enjoy. I really hope there is a way that we can flag users for inappropriate sprays or at least have the option to flag certain gamertags as emblems I want to filter. Much like the "mute" feature for Mic's.

A handful of retailers actually release or "leak" the Black Friday sales early so people who shop plan around making that stop before a competitor releases theirs.
