If you haven't heard of Path of Exile, give it a try. I know a lot of people love the Diablo series, I did myself until Diablo 3 was released. It feels like the spiritual successor to Diablo 2 and the team at PoE is expanding the game's story to 10 acts in August.
Excited to see a Path of Exile story! That being said, the build is garbage and won't take you deep into maps.
He was playing the objective, spotting enemies, and keeping active. This is about as far from camping as you can get.
I'd never heard of Bloodbourne before reading about it on this site. Witcher 3 appealed to me with the TV ads they placed and got my attention when Bloodbourne never even tried. On top of that I was able to pick up Witcher 3 on a Black Friday deal cheaper than the standard MSRP.
Witcher 3 is available on the console I own, less than half the price of full MSRP, and made it itself known to me before launch.
Witcher 3 takes it for me based purely off the v...
I've picked up Witcher 3 and am excited to dive in... I just haven't finished playing Fallout 4 yet.
I've never played a Witcher game, whereas i've played Fallout 3, and New Vegas. There is a tremendous amount of depth in the Fallout world. The character we play has a backstory, but it's secondary to the level of discovery that the world offers. I think you may be a little biased in your assessment.
My kind sir, I do believe you have forgotten Tom Clancy's The Division.
Broken link, but perhaps he played it on a system other than Playstation?
I've not seen anything indicating that there are framerate issues on PC or Xbox, but i've only been on a few minutes. You want to be irritated by critic ratings and reviews, take a peek at ANY Madden review for the last 10 years.
On PC there is an option to filter chat to just an immediate area or guild. Makes it more difficult to locate people for sure, but would certainly cut down on the noise if the feature exists on consoles.
Another thought is to go on forums and search for like minded people to play with. I did some searches recently for people to join me on Diablo 3 and was able to locate some via reddit.
I'm not singling out the game, I've really enjoyed playing ESO. I've never owned a keyboard component for a console and only ever communicated via headset.
From my experience, namely Mass Effect 3 multi-player, text based communications without a mic or keyboard are pretty frustrating.
Looks like some fun content but also some great balancing and enriching for players at each aspect of the game.
I can't imagine text chat on console would be pleasant.
I agree that a huge emphasis is placed on being number 1 in console wars and, despite many fanboys out there, Nintendo appears to be doing quite well for generally always being overlooked... but I think the industry standard for top of mind awareness doesn't apply. Being in the top 3 of any category is great when it isn't a 3 horse race.
I can't imagine the hotel staff pitches these in the trash when they come across them. I agree that it would be a feel good story if the athletes were making the call, but we can hope the hotels have the good sense to donate them.
I think the game is being unfairly categorized in the article.
"...a mix between Minecraft style crafting, The Sims and Farmville. All with some RPG elements added to the mix. It has a similar pixel graphic style of Minecraft, albeit more cutesy, like My Sims from the DS. Since the arrival of Minecraft there seems to be plenty of spin offs, all usually resulting in a poor man’s versions of the popular craft ‘em up."
The 2 biggest influences for this...
There is a video somewhere on the game's web page where the developers spoke to the similarity in name. I don't think it was overly in depth, basically they came up with a catchy name that they liked and when Hearthstone was announced the community that had backed the kickstarter, and were active on their blogs, didn't want to see any changes.
Backwards compatibility would have been big, for either console, if announced at launch. It would have helped early adopters by giving them a catalog they could play day 1, but I agree it isn't huge even then. Why buy a new piece of hardware just to play what you already could on your last gen device? That being said, it's good to see Microsoft making some changes that increase the utility of their console. I haven't traded in my 360 games yet, but looking at them I still don'...
*The Link is broken.
I'm really interested in the Witcher 3. From what i've seen it looks interesting, fantastical, and polished. I don't know that i'll buy a next gen console to give it a shot... but I may get one in the future and try it out.
Character Customization is a huge pull for me. I don't know why I like it soo much, but I seem to play games with it for longer and feel a bit more attached. That is my only concern from what I'...
Game was named early 2013 before the card game was announced and before the video game was released. There was no Hearthstone when this game had it's kickstarter.
The game-play they released looked phenomenal, I understand that Ubisoft is guilty of toning down the visuals of their games upon release but this has the makings to be a tremendously immersing game. I will probably make my decision on which next gen console to buy when we are closer to this game's launch.
I think asking for more is a bit unfounded. They have certainly shared some high impact information on the game that makes the decision an easy one for me.
I'd love a BF2142 style game from them.
