Guys a total douche (and about as funny as an Orphan with polio), but those are BOOTH BABES. As in, women who willfully accepted the job knowing that they were going to be sexualized.
I mean Jesus Christ, people. I'm not trying to say that women DESERVE to be sexually harassed, but I feel like if you walk like a duck and quack like a duck....then just accept that you are going to confuse a few people when you don't want to be treated like a duck.
Not ...
I remember my Powerstone/Sonic marathon that day....good times.
Maybe if your games were better, people wouldn't hate you so much.
...I don't want to play a free-to-play MMO by anyone, really. That market is an ever-growing thorn in this industries side.
I think at $1000 it's a little bit past even "hardcore."
This is a card for folks that wipe their asses with hundred dollar bills and have gardeners with names like Juan and Pedro that they frequently accuse of stealing lawn equipment.
The problem is NOT that there shouldn't be functional gunplay. The problem is that there should not be an abundance of shallow action set-pieces, a de-emphasis of atmosphere, pretty much no resource management and a general lack of scary moments.
It could still easily be a survival horror game with a cover system. I mean, a cover system could conceivably double as a means of hiding from enemies when low on ammo or something.
I don't see that it's irrelevant at all. If you had read any of it, you would have seen that he addresses almost all of the concerns that have been floating around. The look of Dante isn't even a focal point of the article.
But whatever. After what? Six or so months of generally positive feedback from publications both large and small all over the internet, what else can anyone say to deter you "true" fans from your noble crusade? I for one, am ready to ...
Yes, the author does, in fact, go into the gameplay and the character of Dante apart from his looks.
It's almost as if you only read the excerpt up there, but I know that can't be true. That couldn't possibly be the case.
The steampunk culture kind of ruined steampunk for me. All I think of now is the god-awful Abney Park music and the embarrassingly bad costumes and hangouts I've see around town...
Sure, you can still play without the move. In fact, if Move functionality is anything like using the Wii remote, then it's probably better played with a traditional controller. The brush strokes felt better with motion controls, but everything else was just annoying waggle.
And the game was about 33 hours for me, if I remember right. It's easily worth $20. I don't know why the author of this article would use a loaded title like that.
I was with you until you decided to generalize the ENTIRE nation.
We've got a messed up studio/ratings system. THAT'S IT. It's a bunch of old, curmudgeonly white dudes that are not democratically elected that sit around and arbitrarily decide what is "offensive" to the general public.
Most Americans like sex just as much as anyone else in the world, I assure you.
Guys, guys...when you get down to brass tacks, they're ALL pretty terrible.
Better than Vesperia, you think? I friggin loved that one.
In all honesty, I don't know why I don't have this game yet. I get all the Tales games and I always love them.
I...kinda got that impression as well. Not that I think the game is incapable of being good, but the ENTIRE video review was stuff that they disliked about the game.
They said:
- the gameplay was "antiquated,"
- the writing "wasn't particularly good,"
- the graphics were "showing their age"
- the non-shooting segments "weren't handled well"
- the item management is "a dinosaur&quo...
I don't disagree with you, you know. I think women are a little more outspoken about the abuse, but I don't think there should be ANY delusion here that it's a male vs. female thing. I am almost constantly berated when I first start into shooters.
It's just that I see no justification in it, either. "Venting anger" is not a valid excuse for the crap people spew online.

Just to be clear, video games CAN be a very good stress reliever, but "venting anger" (a very different beast) in the form of verbally abusive or otherwise irrational/destructive ...
...you are not Blastoise...
Somewhat off-topic, but the whole "letting anger out" thing is a myth. Studies conducted over the years suggest that "letting out" anger on a regular basis is actually habit-forming and leads to incremental increases in outbursts, or at least the "need" for outbursts. In other words, it is actually more detrimental than holding anger in.
In fact, they say holding it in forces you to develop coping mechanisms overtime that don't involve fits o...
Huh. Can't please everyone, I guess. Between Castlevania, Paper Mario, Luigi's Mansion, Epic Mickey, Monster Hunter 4, and a slew of Atlus and NIS games coming within a year, I think I'm going to be spending a lot of time with my 3DS in the coming months.
@Shadowstar
Yeah, you're right. And I don't want to seem like I'm trying to justify what the dude did. He's an obnoxious prick.
But at the same time, I hate when people expect me to "respect" the women that are attempting to exploit the male libido for monetary gain in the first place. Do they deserve to be harassed? Absolutely not. But don't try to suggest that I should RESPECT these women, either.
