I was one of the few that didn't really care that this was going to be branching from the original genre, in all honesty. I loved playing through Dead Space Extraction and House of the Dead Overkill, for instance.
But I have to say just looking at the game on it's own terms...it's not looking too appealing. The shooting looks wonky and slow and boring, and obviously the adventure aspects are going to leave a lot to be desired, so what does that really leave the g...
You refer to the uncanny valley, and the Japanese often love to skirt ridiculously close to the edge, for some reason.
I think it's because they like to keep the proportions and physics ridiculously unrealistic, even as things like skin texture, hair, and geometry become more and more convincing.
Wait, wait, wait....the people complaining are the ones that have no intention of buying a Wii U in the first place, correct? I mean, they wouldn't be complaining if they were going to eventually have access to the game.
So, stay with me here, I guess that means their business isn't going to factor into the success of the game in the first place....which means....boycott epic fail?
I liked it. It didn't have a lot of the melodrama that has almost become borderline parody in the series over the years.
Though I can understand people disliking it, too. Fantasy politics is not something everyone can sink their teeth into.
^Yeah, you can't go wrong with Matsuno. Tactics, FFXII and Vagrant Story are some of the best games in the industry as far as I'm concerned.
Yeah, they did a very, VERY good job with it. Seriously.
Rape is a crime predicated on innocent victims. For the most part (and just to be clear, I am not attempting to justify the amount of violence in our games) violence is USUALLY presented in a very black and white environment in games. Enemies or opponents are either clearly evil, or at least willing participants in the violence.
Rape is just preying on the weak. Surely you can see the difference between shooting a bunch of armed, hostile soldiers and raping a seemingly unwill...
There's an option to turn the canvas texture on, isn't there? It looks absolutely great in HD, but it seems to missing the "canvas" effect altogether.
Look, I'm as big a fan of the game as anyone, but over the past year or so it's gotten two big updates and bunch of smaller updates....all of it FREE. If they want to move on to make a little extra money at this point, I don't really blame them. I mean, I only paid five bucks for the game.
I've always been a big proponent of consumer rights and everything, but in this instance, it truly is just a terrible case of entitlement issues.
They're BOTH idiots. They both play the polls. They both flip-flop. Like all our politicians these days, they seem to want to be in power just to say that they were in power, not to enact any change or deliver on their promises.
Our bipartisan political system is a farce because it promotes an entirely black and white approach to the issues, which in turn creates an environment in which compromise is NON-EXISTENT.
We all need to realize that government is...
They even juxtaposed a somber piano tune over all the action....much like another infamous trailer for a renowned action game.
I'm in the exact same boat. This one was one of my favorite games ever, but I don't really like the rest of the series.
Man that's...quite a spin...
As long as we're using animals to determine what is "natural," let's throw cannibalism into the mix. Chimps are some of the most violent, territorial creatures on the planet, and when they've slain their enemies (and scientists have noticed that sometimes it's completely without reason), they will often cannibalize their corpses.
Let's throw pedophilia into the mix as well. Animals will OFTEN mate with other animals too young for reproduction. Pe...
I have nothing against pornography, honestly, but I sure as hell don't think it "deserves" to be spammed across the entire industry. You can already get pornographic games ALL OVER THE INTERNET.
Really I was just pointing out the authors use of tu quoque in his justifications.
Love that argument...as if pornography deserves to infect every aspect of the industry just because violence does already.
Wait, wait...boobs!? BOOOBS!? BBOOOOOOBBBBSS!???
550° !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The only reason I'm a little worried is because it's coming from the Dark Messiah team. That game was such a disappointment back in the day.
It certainly looks friggin great, but then so did Dark Messiah...
I think if I wanted to milk money out of the masses, I might make more skin available for a fee as well.
I mean, the porn industry is thriving for a reason, right?
The word does get thrown around, but in this instance it's an accurate assessment. The game WAS NOT GOING TO BE MADE, Nintendo picked it up and now it's going to be exclusive...for what you'd think would be very obvious reasons.
I mean good god, if the Wii U price point is TRULY what's keeping people from picking the console up (which I doubt very much is the case given the industry's long lineage of "console wars") then wait for the price to ine...
