Who the hell is Vincent?
Tsch. Got your hit.
Wait...got my hit too...
And now picture him staring into your eyes while wearing it:
....that wasn't very good at all.
This has just reinforced my distaste for Skrillex AND kotaku...
You guys are too sensitive. I don't agree with the article either, but can we stop acting like these authors are microwaving kittens every time they write articles that aren't cheerleading for Sony?
I don't think I could disagree with that statement more.
Well it's a parody of Dear Esther, so I'm guessing most of it is just poking fun at that game's more, um....pretentious elements.
That's about where I'd put it just for some of the funny writing and dialog that really does feel a lot like the show (though there's not very much of it, to be honest). None of the gameplay is really all that inspired or interesting. Just passable.
Without America, there would be no Nicolas Cage.
This comment is very telling of the actual issue here, methinks, not that anyone would ever admit it.
The game could genuinely be the best in the series (not that I'm saying it will be, just theoretically), and yet it would amount to nothing next to the rage that Tameem and Co. stirred up in the fans prior to the it's release.
@deafdani
Considering the current SKU's come with a game (NSMBW), an excellent semi-rare soundtrack (Super Mario Galaxy) AND a wireless card for $150, you're really spending more money for less with the mini.
And the wifi is actually much more important than people are realizing, because it completely cuts people off from the eShop.
It's not that I think the game is going to be bad, but it seems to be trying too hard to be a "breakthrough blockbuster." Only, in the industry today, creating a "blockbuster" means staying as close to the "profit-proven" designs of whatever came directly before it.
Plus, what I've seen of the story and dialog seems to be in keeping with the Capcom tradition, despite the brand new studio working on it.
Same with me. Better than Brawl, not quite as good as Melee. Brawl really turned the series into a straight up party game, so it's nice to play a game that involves some actual skill again.
I agree, this is just an awful deal. No game, no wifi, no backwards compatibility (though, to be fair, they had ALREADY dropped BC with the last iteration of the console). What makes Nintendo think this is somehow a respectable SKU?
Plus, it looks like an emergency kit you might store under the seat of your car.
Thank god for the internet. Otherwise, I'd have to physically watch that piece of crap event to see all this stuff.
It's just that the game seems to suffer from the same problems as the first game (all bugs and glitches aside).
Sure the world is big, but given that the game is an absolute bore if you're not in the thick of an epic battle, there seems to be very little reason to make the environment as big as it is in the first place. Exploration is pointless, the story is non-existent, and the character progression is no more elaborate than any other shooter out there nowadays. <...
Games should be completely free to explore any subject they want, but to tell the truth, I really don't like when politics are injected into art.
I don't mind when art explores the more general ideologies of politics, but when the subject becomes as specific as the battle between our current day political parties, things often start to feel manipulative and overly suggestive toward one side or the other. Not that it's always handled that way, but too often the su...
Look, I feel for Mr. Molyneux, but he's clearly way too mentally unstable to expose himself to a line of work that is so open to critical feedback. If the man is not behaving like he's completely delusional (he called curiosity "life-changing" for gods sake), he's spouting out emo crap like this that may or may not just be another of his attempts at shallow social acceptance.
If the man is truly clinically depressed, then obviously I wish him no ill will...
Seriously. Friggin look at that thing. It's going to be massive in the hands.
I love my 3ds, but Nintendo really dropped the ball with the designs this time, methinks.
Miyamoto is actually pretty open to creating new IP's. After the "relative" failure of Pikmin, Nintendo as a whole sort of put the kibosh on expanding their repertoire.
Miyamoto himeself is just a little too old-school for his own good.
