....you are wrong, but you could have been right after a 5 second google.
Yeah, they seriously put on a clinic in level design every time they release a game (at least when Miyazaki is involved). It's kind of an easy thing to skim right past when you're playing, but all of the areas and items are very thoughtfully and logically placed in all the Souls games (except for maybe DS2).
Miyazaki and his team are great game designers.
I don't think you understand.
That's the whole damned point. I'm NOT playing the game to fap, but Kojima makes it a friggin POINT to bury the camera in her cleavage every chance he gets the chance...or makes it a point to put her in the shower with you while a bunch of dudes are standing around whispering stuff like "mmmm, look at that!"
It just makes no damn sense. You take a game like Catherine that has a story specifically dedicated t...
This isn't a discussion about double standards, dammit. Why does this ALWAYS have to devolve into this "well he/she started it!" BS every time it's brought up?
I don't mind the material. I JUST mind the context (or lack thereof) in which it is being presented.
I still like porn. I still like tits. The SJW's can still go take a long walk through traffic.
You just have a character here that Kojima has created a wonde...
They have to mix the good stuff in with poppy crap to attract a larger audience. They've done this with just about every one of these games.
This kind of cements my suspicions that Activision has been pumping a LOT of money (and lining a lot of journo pockets) into promoting this expansion.
It's weird that I feel the same way. I love the open world and gameplay, but the story kind of treads dangerously close to parody at this point in my opinion. And it was...surprisingly boring for a Kojima story, too.
Still loved it though. Gameplay alone was enough for me. Stealth in an open world works ridiculously well.
I don't think there's any "golden rule" for this stuff. I think if your intent in game design involves world building in any way, then a poor story can really drag things down.
On the other side of the coin, though, games like Super Mario have never had any kind of meaningful story, but they still succeed on the strength of their gameplay alone.
It all depends on what your gameplay is complimenting, and vice versa.
But don't you just find it a little...coincidental that all the major sites have been making a pretty unified, concerted push for this game? It's highly suspicious.
And are they really going to charge $40 for the standalone DLC, but then $60 for the "legendary" edition?
So essentially the people that took the plunge and bought this unfinished turd when it came out will have spent $140 as opposed to $60 for all the content that, let's be ...
I could have a good time at the DMV if my friends were with me. Not trying to call you out personally, but I feel like MMO's always seem to get a free pass because they're "fun to play with friends." But they actually aren't. They just set you on mundane enough tasks that you can tune it out and joke around with your friends.
Yeah, ok.
It's hard to compare the two, despite their sharing a genre. The exploration and scope has always been The Elders Scrolls' strong suit. Dragon's Dogma is DEFINITELY much better in the combat department. In fact it's some of the best in the genre, in my opinion.
And though I'm not a huge fan of Skyrim's story, it's still better than the WTF moments of Dragon's Dogma.
The N4G comments section has a tendency to make almost every game seem like that. Any article with tits is almost guaranteed to hit the "featured articles" list. It's just something you have to take into account when you come here, hah. But take it from me, this is truly a great Metal Gear Solid game.
...and this is coming from a guy that A)does not like open world games and B)has not really loved a Metal Gear Solid game since the original.
I'm sure she had some idea what it was going to be used for when she was wearing a full body mocap suit and all those checks were rolling in.
Yeah, I'm still kind of wondering that too. Their last two have come out in March. It WOULD be good to get it before Uncharted...though I don't know if a month is enough for me, hah.
No, it is not true.
Anita is as ridiculous as "Gamergaters" ever were, and this crap is turning the whole industry into freaking bipartisan politics.
You either hate women, or you hate games. So you have to pick a side. Pisses me off so much as a guy who just wants to play some goddamn games.
Getting involved with these internet skirmishes is the REAL enemy of gaming.
I feel like feminists have made it so that gamers are overly sensitive to any suggestion that sexualization might have been taken a little too far in a game, and I really don't understand it.
I still like sex and porn and boobies, but why is it so outrageous to suggest that it does not need to be randomly thrown into games just to push a few shallow sales?
Her costume makes no sense within the context of the game. That is literally the only problem I have...
Honestly, I was speaking more generally. There's been a single scene that I found kind of...strange...so far in MGSV, but I haven't really found her outfit as outrageous as some people.
I think it's just the fact that again, it's got a very thin contextual explanation, EVEN in a setting littered with super soldiers. People in Metal Gear games are still susceptible to the weather and gunfire and all manner of hazard that could be alleviated by wearing appropri...
You are suggesting that skimpy clothing at a beach or pool is comparable to skimpy clothing on a battlefield?
If the nudity and fanservice makes sense I don't mind it at all. Developers just tend to throw it in for the hell of it and it makes no goddamn sense in the context of their games. It's kind of like the Family Guy Effect.
I didn't really notice a problem like that in the Witcher, to be honest, though...
I will be following Miyazaki wherever he goes for sure, and he has already expressed interest in moving on to other projects.
If From Software "annualizes" the franchise with a new team, then I'll follow that until it starts sucking. Simple as that.
