....is anyone else seeing some slightly naughty imagery in that thumbnail?
@wonderfulmonkeyman
Obviously the game doesn't push polys like the bigger AAA games out there, but I think the real problem is how bland it's art style is. It is literally like they took the N64 game and re-textured it. Not every game has to be another Uncharted, but I don't find it ridiculous at all for people to expect new games to look more interesting (poly count aside) than games that came out nearly 20 years ago.
@-Foxtrot
Working at a High School, I can vouch for the 15-18 crowd and their love for this idiot. Perhaps not quite a demographic of "children," but...yeah, they're pretty dumb.
And I don't say that in a mean way, but "dumb" as in immature and goofy enough that they still think saying curse words loudly is an effective comedic technique.
I don't think it's all that whiney to suggest they relied a bit too much on the batmobile. Almost everyone still loved the game. It's just...got too much batmobile at points.
And to be perfectly honest, I actually liked the batmobile sections quite a bit. I didn't care for the tank portions nearly as much. They felt kinda generic "aim-and-shoot" to me.
Funny enough, reading the part of this article that mentioned "rape talk" reminded me of a couple of days ago in Heroes of the Storm when I wiped, and the dude in my lane messaged that he was going to "rape me into the ground."
The funny part is that I was playing as Uther and my name was BillyLiar...
Yeah, this game was pretty equal opportunity. You don't even have to play half an hour into the game. In the first "complex" area, you're saving a bunch of dudes from Scarecrows' thugs, only to find that three of them have been beaten and killed before Batman could get there.
I don't think the SJW's will be satisfied until every protagonist is a woman, and every woman in every game is never objected to any form of trauma.
@abzdiine
I don't think he's trolling. Generally, Jim Sterling simply writes exactly what he feels about a game, which is more than many shill reviewers can say these days. Feel free to boycott all you want, but I am more inclined to simply disagree (because yes, you can *gasp* respectfully disagree with a review) and boycott the garbage sites that regurgitate exactly what they think readers and publishers want to hear.
It's just way overused. I like it for some variety here and there, but I NEVER enjoyed having to backtrack and wander all over complexes looking for ways to lug it around. And I didn't like the fact that so many side-quests seemed to force it down our throats (the Deathstroke quest in particular was very disappointing).
And for the record, the actual batmobile portions FAR exceeded the tank portions. The tank portions were pretty generic shooting sections, but driving...
Yeah, this game is going to be choice.
And man, developers are really good at making ultra-realistic-looking houses all of the sudden.
They are very similar mechanically, but Outlast is kind of 'Hostel' and Isolation is kind of...'Alien.' Well it's not KIND OF Alien. It's gotta be the most faithful adaptation of a property ever in a video game. A lot of the reason I enjoyed it more than Outlast (and I loved Outlast) was because of the unparalleled fanservice they put in the game. Whether you love it or not might come down to how much you like the franchise.
Some people say Isolation w...
I have to tell you, the side missions left me feeling a lot like they did in Arkham City. They all started out very well, but inevitably ended up feeling a little like artificial filler.
I mean...a tank battle with Deathstroke? Really? Deathstroke is one of the few villains that could conceivably beat Batman in straight hand-to-hand, but we get a tank battle?
I don't recall saying I was offended by it. It would be the same as leaving the crazy head rotating bug in Fallout New Vegas, or something like that.
Cut it out with your reactionary BS. I'm not a feminist, you idiot. I just thought it looked stupid.
In all fairness...in all fairness...they did look ridiculous, even for "boob physics". I like boobs, but I'm glad it's just a glitch they're fixing.
It's kind of the polar opposite of what I have loved the series for before it. I don't see how that's "silly" and I don't see how Rocksteady announcing it beforehand magically means it's immune to criticism.
It's cool if you like it, though. I'm still loving the game. I just think the batmobile makes things feel a little...schizophrenic. It feels like it was added in because all AAA games are required to have a certain amount of explosion...
But then you have to keep riding in the batmobile...over and over and over. Even the Riddler challenges are batmobile races this time around.
It's the only thing that is not blowing me away in this game, to be honest. It's a fun little distraction, but I would rather have had more innovation go into taking out bad guys as Batman, not blowing them away in a bat tank.
I had a hard time telling a difference between even the low and high settings on PC, to tell the truth. I don't think anyone is going to feel cheated regardless of the version they get with this one.
Though I've been hearing that there are performance issues on the PC for the time being.
@Rimeskeem
I really don't see how that is relevant. You would have to be delusional to deny that there is MUCH better hardware available for PC's than what is being used in current consoles. If a particular game is not capable of running better on PC's at this point, it is 100% the fault of developers for not porting the game properly. There is undeniably faster hardware available for PC's.

Probably an unpopular opinion (because most people jizz their pants anytime they hear the phrase "open world" attached to any game nowadays), but I have always liked Asylum the most of any of them due to how dense and tightly designed it was.
I still loved Arkham City, but there were times I was buzzing around the city that I felt the size was needlessly inflated to give the game the illusion of being "epic." I feel that way about a lot of open world games...
Well, there are other advantages, too. Mechanical buttons generally are less prone to malfunction. And there have been times when I have had my systems unplugged and needed to get a disc out of the tray.
I kinda prefer mechanical buttons when at all possible, myself.
That logic makes no sense. I don't dislike everyone that makes more money than me. Far from it. That would be almost everyone I know.
I dislike the ones that I think don't deserve it, and whether you disagree or not, I don't personally think he deserves the popularity and (more importantly) income that he gets. His videos are the worst kind of pandering schlock on youtube. There is no cleverness or creativity involved with anything he does. It is literally just a ...
