Yeah, that's how I feel about it now too. I am constantly game shamed even nowadays, but I think it got to the point where I just don't care anymore. I understand if it is affecting one's mental or physical health it would be one thing, but I have always despised this stereotype that you have to be an antisocial shut-in to want to spend a Friday night playing games.
God, I'm pretty much done with all this Kickstarting, Early access, crowd-funding BS once and for all. I'm so tired of this crap.
You would think that seasoned developers would be the safer bet to invest money in, but you're honestly just as well off investing in some small, unproven indie project. It's pathetic.
Crowd-funding has made it very clear that a lot of these celebrity developers are either completely inept at handling money, or outr...
I thought it was more disturbing than it was scary, myself. I think because it was a future that you could actually imagine happening.
Well then have fun doing it, because 90% of the game could be taken out and no one would even notice.
Everyone does the same Butcher / Azmodan run up to 70 and then grinds through generic rift runs for hundreds of hours until they get...the same set hundreds of times to push their DPS just a little further so that they can...run the same generic rifts hundreds of times.
It is beyond redundant. Most of the loot isn't even interesting now. It's just sta...
Since legal action can so seldom be taken against these giant corporations, "apology" gifts have always been a welcome show of faith for all the blatant false advertising that goes on in the industry nowadays.
You can call it "entitlement" if you want (it is definitely "the" buzzword to use these days), but don't try to act like these piece of garbage corporations are the victims because people want the corporate equivalent of an apology afte...
It's really not worth coming back to, honestly. It has been streamlined to the point that it is literally nothing but a constant grind for better statted loot.
I mean sure, they have new sets every season, but it doesn't really change anything. It's just more stat stacking.
If there is a Mac version out, then yes you can. Just check the compatible OS list on the game's Steam page.
I'm with you. I feel like the more immersed you can get in horror, the more effective it is, and Until Dawn is only about as immersive as a horror movie. A good horror movie, no doubt, but it never came close to matching the amount of tension I got from games like Outlast, Amnesia, or even a more action-centric horror game like Condemned.
...sounds like someone has thrown quite a bit of money into Star Citizen.
I think PS+ on the PS4 kind of demonstrates one of the biggest problems we're having right now in general (Sony or otherwise)...we're mostly playing games from last generation.
Yeah, Broken Age was passable overall (honestly not even one of the best point-and-click in the past couple of years, in my opinion, but it was ok), but what really made it disappointing was the development cycle it went through.
There have been much smaller teams that have done way more with less money and in much less time, but all we got from Double Fine was excuses...and a bunch of other crappy little gimmicky / mobile / micro games that came out while Broken Age was sti...
It's not that I'm necessarily trying to poop on Nintendo, but the only real observable trend here is that games almost always sell the best on the platform they are originally released on.
Unfortunately, there is no way to really emulate or estimate how much better (or worse) a game like Shovel Knight would have done on multiple consoles because that initial momentum (which is a GIANT factor in gaming) was focused exclusively toward Nintendo consoles.
Yeah, I love Nidhogg but...how the hell did Nidhogg beat out games like Metroid Prime, SoTN, and Bioshock!?
I love most of the games on the list, but it seems COMPLETELY out of order.
I think the "JRPG" influence is going to be coming more from the battle system that seems to be a mixture of several different hallmark JRPGs. Most notably, I think, is the fact that it seems to borrow the IP gauge from Grandia and the timed-attacks from games like Lost Odyssey and Super Mario RPG.
It's pathetic. It has nothing to do with any kind of "master race" BS. It has to do with ruining the original art style.
And it only cost early adopters $140! What a steal!
The fact that you still think this has anything to do with ethical hangups speaks to your inability (or unwillingness, more likely) to comprehend dissenting opinion.
I like to think that I'm not so hard-headed that I can't see both sides of an argument even if I still disagree, but honestly, "figure it out yourself" really goes a long way in demonstrating just the kind of person I've been arguing with this whole time. What a big ball of pretentious, hard...
Well, you don't "hear" a whole hell of a lot to begin with, anyway, because I'm not screaming "objectification". I don't give two licks about whether or not this is an objectification of women. I thought I made that pretty clear. I am only commenting on the fact that I think that her overt sexuality is out of place in the context the game has established. It's distracting and breaks my immersion.
And just for the record, I have been comment...
What's with the phantom disagrees? Is there something I'm missing? Or is it priced poorly or something?
It's looking pretty awesome to me.
It ran out of ammo and did not survive.
