Why even respond to the lunacy of an attention-whore like Wu? It's like arguing with a rock...though rocks make much more sense.
The creators have always referred to her as a woman. You have no more burden of proof than that. Drop the mic.
I wouldn't compare it to Borderlands just because it was made by the same people. It looks a lot more like a Team Fortress for people who like MOBA's.
In fact, the MOBA influence is pretty light, too. It's kind of just a team based shooter, to be honest. That ain't what Borderlands is all about in the least.
There actually is no justifiable difference. Women have the exact same reaction to over-sexualized men as men have to over-sexualized women. If Cammy is promoting an unrealistic portrayal of women, then Ryu is doing the exact same thing for men. I won't argue here whether or not that theory is ridiculous in the first place, but the hypocrisy is the same either way.
I'm pretty sure they're not going to start hurting until they stop making tons of money off of brand whoring and their crappy pachinko machines.
There is no justice in this world.
NO! It is offensive to suggest that there can be ANY differences between ANYONE.
In fact, we shouldn't be able to even choose a gender or a race. The character should just be a faceless, light brown mannequin with no discernible sexual characteristics whatsoever. That's the only way to be sure that no one will be offended.
I have soured a bit to it as I've gotten older. I used to love all that melodrama and that convoluted plot, but now it's not really for me anymore.
To be fair, there's a lot of anime and JRPG's I feel the same way about. Got nothing against it, but it's not my cup of tea either...and I love tea.
How could you see anything with that cameraman? It's like he has the attention span of a two year old.
Gotta disagree. There is much better sound to be had for less money.
The mixamp is fine if you're not going to be going through a dedicated DAC, but the headphones themselves are comically overpriced for the sound quality they give you.
Many, many times before.
Yeah, I'm with yall. It really depends.
As far as cartridges go, I wouldn't mind at least seeing how that technology unfolds for Nintendo's console. This generation has made it quite clear that the physical size of media is increasing exponentially faster than the storage capacity of our optical storage solutions. That's why every game we put in our PS4 or XBONE is automatically installed, and then almost always patched immediately with a sizable download. Our...
...that voice acting, though.
I loved the game back in the day, but if I'm trying to get my Grandia nostalgia fix, I almost always reach for Grandia 2.
I always hate arguing about genres. I mean, at the end of the day does it really matter what genre a game is if you put 200+ awesome hours into it? Is there really going to be this giant revelation of..."oh my god, I only spent 200+ hours with that game because I THOUGHT it was an RPG while I was playing it."
I remember them removing that stuff, but I can't remember a single person outright "praising" the decision.
You can always count on a few trolls to say stupid crap like that, but it's kind of ridiculous to try and suggest that the Sony fanbase all collectively raised their arms up in praise of Sony for doing it.
@moldybread
After defending the game before it's release, I actually did have to admit that I did NOT like the direction they took Dante after I played it. I didn't mind them changing him, personally, but they ended up making him into a sniveling, unlike-able little dick.
I think in general you're right, though. A lot of the backlash was just from nostalgic "fans" unwilling to accept any kind of change. It wouldn't really have matter...
Couldn't disagree more with that. It's one of my favorite FF's, personally.
@4Show
....yeah, I remember. They ended up gimping the Kinect because there actually WAS evidence that they were going to try to use the Kinect to gather ad-relative information with only questionable user consent.
I'm not saying these stories are or are not true, but given how ethically hollow all these giant corporations are these days, I see absolutely no problem in constantly questioning their actions.
These people are not your friend...
I think you're on the wrong site.
Far be it from me to agree with Kotaku, but this is the problem I have with most open-world games as well.
The Witcher 3 was designed and written well enough that it wasn't nearly as bad as some other games, but it still suffered slightly from the open-world "list-of-chores" syndrome every now and then. Even with how well written they were, sometimes I really wished I could just be getting on with the main story instead of some random task some random villager a...
Eh, whatever. If some dudes are so perpetually horny that they require the promise of boobs to be interested in a convention for GAMING, then the extra scenery doesn't really bother me.
Honestly it just makes me slightly uncomfortable thinking that there might be a bunch of dudes walking around with half a chub all over the place.
You also gotta understand that he was mostly going after the Pewdiepie/Markiplier crowd, which...honestly with that crowd, I did not find Kimmel to be off-base in the least. He is literally being threatened by a bunch of 12 year olds.
