Anyone who has purchased a sub $300 laptop in the last three years knew that ;) I was very pleased with the transparency and granular detail on specifications that they went into. If MS change their specs now, they risk missing the holiday from production delays.
This is the video gaming system that I have waited my whole life for. And I'm being serious.
So much potential. Sony hit ALL the right notes. They were clever in not announcing the price though, so that they can undercut MS.
The 8 GB DDR5 was a frickn' megaton. Most powerful system by a mile now.
All the languages certainly add to the development process.
LEGEND OF DRAGOON. Yes. That would be the one for me. I'm playing it on Vita and it's still quite brilliant, even today.
They should offer full rentals of streamed games through PSN. Personally, I'm a "buyer" not a renter, however even I would bite on the occasional title that I can't quite commit to purchasing.
So what is that in NA terms? $350-$400? I know that they don't do a direct conversion by exchange rate when setting the MSRP between territories. If Sony not only announce first (which is a given) BUT launch first (before MS), this could be their gen.
They clearly will. Look at the support Soul Sacrifice is getting. And since 90% of the Vita games are currently being made in Japan, they really have no choice. I bet that we'll see almost every one of those titles announced today over here by the end of 2013. Except for FFX HD (SE, just being SE) and the Legend of Heroes one.
Also, Aksys, Atlus, NISA and GungHo haven't announced their 2013 lineups yet. So we can expect more localizations on the horizon.

I wasn't disagreeing with you (nor did I click it), just adding to the dialogue :)
A bubble for one of the best fantasy animes out there.

The price>performance ratio always weighs heavily in favour of consoles. Most consumers will never invest what it takes to get a "high end" PC and a console offers pretty spectacular performance for its $. My custom Sager (which gives SLI desktop level performance) cost about 3 grand. I only invested in it because I write, game and travel quite a bit.
But that sort of cost for the average consumer is absurd. Your argument that console ...
They're bundling them with 4GB now (and a game in many cases). I can see them making 4GB standard for a low end model. Especially with a 32 GB pack on the market for $50 more.
Vita + 32 GB = $249.99
Vita + 4 GB = $199.99
Perhaps a game will be bundled in. I think this is what we will see announced for the West soon (and something similar for EU).
There is a Japanese bundle coming with a 32 GB card for around $250 American (not a direct conversion, but still). I expect on Wednesday - or soon after - we'll see bundles like this:
Wifi/ 3G (they're the same price now in Japan) + 32 GB = $249.99
Wifi/ 3G + 4GB = $199.99
There should be a memory unit with every console, but we'll see. And if Sony really is going for the throat they could lower that latter bundle to $179.99. Or t...
Nothing wrong with that. MH is kind of stale. No story, no real progression, just item collection and instance farming. And Capcom have been reusing the same assets since the PS2 era.
I welcome a fresh wave of hunting genre games. God Eater was leagues better, and RO had signifigantly better controls and combat. So if each "clone" brings new features and inspiration to the genre, that's not a bad thing at all.
Edit: @WhooHooAlex Agreed, but the...
Bubbled up for "funny", SpartanGR. Nothing like a good counter-troll. And everything you said in your first post is spot on.
I thought it was already out in Japan. The HD version - not the 3DS one. It is unlikely that MH will be much of a system seller in NA, and that's all Ninty really have left in terms of "big" releases for the quarter.
I wouldn't be surprised if they miss their 4 million goal at this rate. I don't think that MH in March will give them the boost they're hoping for. Those "core" Nintendo fans were the ones who bought the system at Launch.
I saw a story regarding 20th on my local news station when I was getting ready the morning after the announcement. So this man's statement is fantastically delusional. Central news agencies will be reporting on this, just like they cover any other major technological event. I doubt they'll do a whole segment or anything, but it will be in the news. Its absurd to think otherwise.
MS are really on a roll with their mouths lately. Still bitter about Sony announcing first...
I like the fact that it looks like you have a built in trackpad for precision movements, and/ or a built in Move should you choose. I'm not a fan of peripherals, but I don't mind features if they're integrated into a form factor that I already use and enjoy.
Let's be honest, Move was the most precise of the 3 motion types, but also between the Wii and Kinect for being finicky to set up. If they nail the precision without some weird camera setup (super wide len...
Rupert.
You clearly have no idea what you're talking about. Heavenly Sword was a JOINT VENTURE - 2nd party - IP that Sony OWNS and SCEE helped make. NT originally was trying to prep the game on the Xbox, but MS didn't want it. Sony stepped in and sealed the deal with an exclusivity clause, and/ or formalized the IP (I'm not sure that it was "Heavenly Sword" at that point and not some random brawler). Same with Demon's Souls and From Software. SCEJ ac...
He sounds like a petulant child. Show some class for God's sake. We got games, revolutionary network and streaming and specs that pound Durango's rumoured hardware into the dirt. Cry moar Nelson, your tears are sweet.
