Channels are wrong. Its PS3/ Vita.
Phantasy Star Online 2 is out on the 28th too. And Soul Sacrifice the week after that. So a nice bump isn't out of the question. Hopefully they stabilize around 25K after that. Its enough to give the system life.
Is it tomorrow that the Vita price cut goes into effect? I think so. Next week's results will be telling.

@ fermcr
PAYING FOR THE DEVELOPMENT of a licensed IP kind of guarantees it will be exclusive for a while. Unless the person paying for it is an idiot. That's what we call 2nd party, not 3rd. And essentially what Nintendo offered with B2.
Edit: Also, nitpicking examples of 3rd party loyalty, when Mass Effect, FF, and almost every other 3rd party AAA game is multiplatform doesn't support your argument very well. Please stop stealth editing too. Stick by...
Its almost certainly not an exclusive, its a strategic partnership. I wish people would read the articles before commenting.
Did you actually read the article? Its referring to timed DLC or staggered release (at best), not an outright 3rd party exclusive.
Those are dead.
What we will see is something like the Activision/ Sony partnership. A "strategic" partnership.
Edit: Well your point about Activision was either erroneous or lacking clarity, as THIS next gen, Sony had them up on stage. LAST gen, Sony had a similar partnership with EA. So either way your...
WarThunder, all PS3 assets are made on the PC, then crammed into PS3 architecture and RAM restraints. Developers have already said that porting to the PS4 is a dream. And I'm pretty sure Naughty Dog stated that all their assets are ALREADY in 1080p - or higher - PC format.
This rumour is hardly a stretch.
I want an RPG, not necessarily a JRPG, but a massive RPG from the East or West.
Deep Down will do and D3 will be around I guess. But since this gent is mostly talking about "1st party" output in the interview, I'd like to see a Wild Arms, LoD, Demons Souls sequel (Sony own that IP, Dark Souls is a different story) or even Everquest Next.
Rarely, if ever, does a system launch with an RPG. I'm struggling to think of a case where that wasn'...
They are both using SoC, so no. That, just like swapping the RAM would cause them to make a whole new mobo, which leads to production delays etc. The 360 design was finalized for a year before it went into production, they just changed the DIMMs around, that didn't change the mobo. MS will go with what was leaked, guaranteed. Its not like a WiiU > PS4 difference we're talking about here, and certainly nothing that will be noticed outside of Head2Head comparisons or until later in t...
The article isn't clear on that. Then they go on to show the "original list", which is certainly not JUST EU developers.
CVG are confused, not the people in this thread.
I think that MS fanboys would be the most bored by now.
All fanboys suck, for the record.
That's all it takes these days apparently. We have three month product cycles now. /s
I'm not a fan of the Wii U, and its clear it won't be another Wii in terms of success, but to think that Nintendo will just pack it up and throw in the towel now is asinine.
Agreed. Considering that EA, Blizzard/ Activision, Ubisoft, Capcom, SE and pretty much EVERYONE we KNOW is doing projects for the PS4 aren't on "the list", I don't understand the purpose of this article. Well, I do, as its clickbait. "OMGZ Sony has noez 3rd party supports!"
Wait, yeah, it does, and we already saw a bunch of it on stage.
Edit: Its a FACT that 4 out of 5 publishers I mentioned were AT the Sony Presser SHOWING or DISC...
They'll launch in NA before they launch in Japan, if it comes down to supply issues. I guarantee. The home console business in Japan is third overall (looking at the traditional region breakdown - I know that there are far more regions involved than that).
The event was hosted in NYC. For a Western audience, filled with Western devs. It will hit NA shelves in 2013. That's a certainty.
There's a phenomenal amount of hubris involved for SE to throw that name around and think that it still means what it did 5 years ago.
"Evangelists".
I think that's the term you're looking for. Blind and fervent faith in something intangible (like the love of a corporation for its customers).
More to the point, MS won't change their hardware; its too late in the game. What was leaked is what we'll get, just like with Orbis. They could add another 4GB of DDR3, but what's the point? The mobo was designed for DDR3 (see the EDRAM) and having more low-bandwidth RAM...
If they swap out the RAM to be DDR5 (which they will NOT), they would have to cut the EDRAM off the mobo. That only exists in lieu of a faster RAM solution. So we'd be talking about a redesign, plus an new order for silicon, plus an increase in price. It's simply not going to happen. MS would miss Xmas for sure. No matter how much money they could throw at the issue.
If the leaked Orbis specs were as accurate as they were, we can expect the same with Durango. MS has ...
Phil will probably do the speaking this year. He's much more elegant than anyone MS has had in their roster in the last decade.
But watching Ballmer go red as a tomato and spaz out is always good for a laugh. Oh, well, there's still youtube memories for that:

How they don't just muzzle him, I'll never know.

Oh, see I thought that the mechanics - combat, systems (not being able to equip your companions aside) - were far, far better with DA2. Certainly more polished. DAO was quite clunky, even on PC. The story, lack of a driving narrative in particular, and the recycled elements of DA2 are where it fell apart. Imo.
All I want is Skyrim with a few more AI controlled team-mates in a DA universe. That's where they should be going with the series. Not this instanced crap. (Yes, ES...
