This is seriously good news. I'm so pleased PS5 hasn't ignored BC
This is may not be a genuine comparison. It's important to look at file sizes, because many xbox games ran at lower resolutions to the PS4 version, therefore Xbox version might require fewer game assets to load and hence a smaller file size. I'm not saying this is THE reason or even A reason, just that file size may be a factor. We need a lot more info to reach any certain conclusions, imo.
So you know this do you? From what I just read,I think not. Most of your comment is pure nonsense, sorry but it is.
I don't choose my comments based on console manufacturer. I'm equally +ve or -ve depending on the issues. I have no shares in MS or Sony and don't need to defend or attack either. you are confusing certain architecture designs with a particular feature set. If you don't know what that means, go research.
I imagine then, that the PS5 will load areas even before you fast travel, creating some king of time travelling paradox. Anyway, reduced loading is gotta be a good thing. Very good that both consoles have chosen NVMe. Though currently, it seems to be the only feature living up to the hype of 'Next gen'.
I really don't mean this in a negative way, but we are recently seeing more articles relating to the limitations of PS5 e.g not full RDNA. I honestly don't know how significant this particular issue will turn out to be, but obviously, more options better, less options not better. I'm judging it purely on this basis for now.
"Up to 60FPS w/ Dynamic 4K" Here we go again. 'UP TO' So it's no @60, nor is it 4K, simple as that.
Let me ask you all a question, please. If you see a 'SALE' sign declaring; UP TO 80% off. What do you think that really means. Yeah, that's what I thought.
Oh dear. C'mon now, with RT on, you're Really gonna complain for a console @£249? What do you think the PS5 is gonna produce stable native 4K @60 with RT on? Your comment, like many others is filed under ......y. A more legitimate argument imo, might be why bother with RT at all on this or other next gen consoles. Just stick to 1440 and @60, or even 1080 @60. The PR of native 4K@60 is already falling apart.
Single player RPG's are my thing, and so I'm really looking forward to this game. However, the Creation engine has already gone through several iterations in the past with, what some might say, little real difference to quality. I'm in that group, so until I see actual in game footage, the quality remains a concern for me.
Exactly how much free space is available on PS5 SSD ? In terms of actual game storage, not a whole lot more than SS. And I'm not excluding Sx from this debate either. In truth, none of the next gen consoles come with sufficiant storage, but that's the trade off for getting SSD - They are expensive tech at the moment. In time prices will come down substantially,we know this. As for popularity of SS, well all availble stock is gone, at least in the UK so....
In imo SS, really i...
Wow! 4k with Good quality RT. Oh wait... @Cinematic frame rates. Pass
You may well be correct, but I didn't see those differences in this particular video.
I'm disappointed with both next gen consoles currently. All this talk of higher framerates with higher res AND RT features. Seems all we are really getting at the moment is faster loading times! There's hope, I know, but the more people keep promoting 30fps as 'Cinematic', the more likely we are to get stuck with last gen, in the next gen. And for fu** sake MS, stop messing with Gears. It's simply not worth it.
"CAPCOM is already debuting ray tracing in Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition, so this won't be a first. Looking at that title, which also runs on the RE Engine, we can speculate there may be ray-raced reflections, lighting, and shadows in Resident Evil Village."
Am I missing something? Is this title RT, or just a speculation of such?
Either way, has the frame rate been confirmed? Is it @60 or another @30 'Cinematic experience' next gen title.

Actually, reading the comments here, it appears as though most of us don't give it too much power. Seems we are smart enough to make our own decisions based on what we read, and are not overly influenced by their scores.
Already posted similar comment elsewhere, but it's worth re-posting I think.
Story telling 101. Don't switch between too many protaganists. It kills the willingness of the reader to invest time in, and identify with, any single character. It destroys immersion and leaves the reader confused and disinterested.
I'm not a big fan of Sonys legal wranglings of late. eg LOU2 leaks and YouTube take downs etc, but in this instance it's a perfectly reasonable response imo. We don't know if the seller was going to produce these items using the right quality of materials. Who knows, seller might have used cheap plastics not up to the job.
I've already made my point on the game specifically, to lots of disagrees, obviously:) However, there does seem a lot of confusion over RT in many posts.
RT has been around and touted as the holy grail of graphics for literally decades. It's not a new idea! It's not an AMD, or indeed, a NVIDIA technology.
And as far as I'm concerned the only real feature that improves ALL games 100% is higher framerates, but already we see both sides (MS a...
Don't forget believing in generations. Really pointless isn't it.
To be fair, we only know that SX has full RDNA2 feature set, and it looks as though the ML aspect of these, may deliver DLSS type services. What we don't know is if PS5 has any custom options to do the same thing. Personally, I suspect not, because why would you custom design something when it already exists as part of the standard feature set. You would only do that if, 1) You are improving on the standard offering or 2) You are reducing the standard offering to save resources. The firs...
Fair enough, didn't realise that. In which case we will need to see what happens on true next gen third and first party titles that take advantage of respective customizations. Either way, it's great that we can look forward to such quick loading, regardless of console.
