Actually, it simply is. Gamepass on PC, is. The majority of OS on PC, is. Xcloud, is. Certainly far more MS than Sony anyway you look at it. PC is, whether you accept it or not a growing part of the MS ecosystem.
MS have as much good will with me as Sony do. Neither of them are trustworthy, they have both behaved questionably towards their customers. Last of us 2, would be a recent example, but I can go back as far as the Sony 'root kit' saga. If you don't know what that was, look it up.

Oh my, more nonsense. will be, might be, should be! C'mon, I'm pretty sure nobody on this site genuinely believes that a more powerful box overall, cannot choose whatever res/fps to display it's UI in.
Now, I've read several articles that claim MS reduced the res on Xbox UI due to developer requests to free max amount of memory for games. I don't know how true that is, but the fact remains if you run a UI at higher resolution it will utilise more memory....
This is highly unlikely, but MS has already said they won't be releasing unit numbers anyway. It'll just be the usual fanboy speculations. MS, imho, will absolutely make inroads as the generation matures, but that's probably from new gamers to the eco system, rather than established gamers who will likely remain loyal to one side or the other. On the other hand, if you look at all revenue streams, then it's quite possible, but not specifically on console sales.
Because they can. Illustrating my very point from above. A 2.1 port does NOT mean the TV supports all the 2.1 features, but again, it's your dollar.
I suggest you do the proper research.Go to the official HDMI consortium/alliance website. Yep there is one. Then look at the complete, full, feature set (all of them, not just some) specified by 2.1. Then compare to any set currently available. You won't find any that match the whole feature set. I personally, don't care whether you get duped into believing you have a full 2.1 or not, believe what you like. But what I'm saying is correct at this current time.
I repeat. J...
The problem with HDMI 2.1 TV's currently is... there isn't any. Well, none that conform to full 2.1 specifications. It's worth noting that the HDMI consortium does not mandate any specific features of 2.1 that a TV must include before it is considered certified as 2.1 compliant. That's why so many that claim to be 2.1 only carry the most basic of 2.1 features, but are allowed to certify as 2.1. Personally, I'm waiting for a truly 2.1 complaint TV before I upgrade - that ma...
For me, the resolution thing for UI isn't important in the slightest, it just needs to be snappy in operation. After all, it's really only there to launch a game. However, the new PS5 features like the cards and added interactivity of the UI do seem to bring a bit more bling and interest to it. Wether or not the these features get in the way, remains to be seen. Still, while not essential, they're nice to have. Kudos to Sony for at least making the effort.
Publishers want 4K@30 to impress and sell, gamers want 1440@60 to play and enjoy. Should be interesting generation. 1440@min 60 with RT if poss, is the sweet spot for console gaming this gen,I believe.Hopefully, that's something most gamers can unite around.
Yeah, he was a right royal pain in the ass, but not for too long, I left him in camp where he belongs.
Agreed there are issues with the game, but hopefully with feeback, it will get better.
Have you looked at the Solasta game yet?
I watched Wolfheart stream this from Stadia when released. Not pretty.
As someone who did, I don't have an answer for you. Other than to say, if you can tolerate the glitches you do get rewarded. But yeah, wait for the full release.
I told myself I wouldn't go for the early access, because the price of entry, £49.00 was way too high for early access, but I did it anyway. This game is nothing short of stellar in my eyes and will undoubtly, when complete, redefine what's expected from a crpg. Currently though, it's a glitchy mess with some flashes of brilliance. Wait for the full release would be my advice.
So, both consoles have two modes. A res mode, and a fps mode. Neither a 30fps res mode or a 900p fps mode should be considered acceptable to any gamer this gen, imho.
It's too early to tell at this stage, but I'm currently thinking that either, this game is poorly optimised or, it is very demanding. Of course, there is a third option where it's simply down to develops unfamiliarity with the hardware. Still, either way, I'm not impressed.
Or mention superior BC on a SeriesX, some people will get mad.
Within the first year or two of this Gen series X will likely equal or exceed the triple A output of the PS5, but the PS5 still won't have good BC.
Fanboys. I think I know how a console cooling system works, so therefore I do. Please, leave the real design to the designers who do know. That applies to both console designs.
I don't think this is an issue. The SSD's will be working very hard in these new consoles, but their lifetime should more than surpass the console generation. After that, then maybe, but who really cares beyond that point. Sorry, this should have been a post, not a reply.
And this gneration? you know, the one that nobody, and I mean nobody, knows the outcome of yet. We will only know about this gen at the end of it, and there's a very long way to go. Going off of previous generations as an indicator,I would agree with you. But, that's assuming nothing has changed with MS. Do you really think that's true? Let wait and see.
